Sale Race 8 #11 Dunalley $7.00
I have gone with one at a price in what is a very tough meeting at Sale.
She got home well last start when first-up at Cranbourne over the 1500m to finish 4th.
The winner of that race made it two wins in a row and there has already been a subsequent winner and placegetter come out of the race.
The rise in distance will suit and Billy Egan jumps aboard for the ride (18.6% winning strike rate at Sale and has ridden 6 winners from his last 22 rides).
This trainer partnership are in top form with over a 20% winning strike rate at a 47.8% POT since forming.
They may instruct Billy to land the mare closer to the speed from the good gate and with very little pace in the race.
Looks like an excellent bet at odds.

Canterbury Race 3 #1 Sumo Star $6.00
It is amazing that this 3YO gelding hasn't broken through already in his short career.
His current record stands at (7:0-3-3) and while this may make him look like a bridesmaid, it doesn't tell the full picture.
He has firstly ran into some very talented horses and as a result could argue hasn't been placed the best.
These horses he has run second to include Californian, Miss Faberge, Step Aside and Lichester who all look to have ability.
He has also been a victim to some poor rides.
When he came second to Lichester he was 3/4 deep the entire trip and was only collared late.
For today he draws soft, gets Tom Sherry onboard and can be prominent from the front.
A few of these are entering off just a single trial and may need the run.
Lean with the fitness edge at a price around the tricky Canterbury track.

Doomben Race 6 #9 Ravaged Award $2.30
This daughter of Sheamus Award has contested better races than this, in her past couple.
Two runs back she led them up in the Listed Silk Stocking, where she did all the hard work to cart the field up from a wide barrier.
Last start, she chased home the smart Enterprise Pomme and was strong as she attacked the line to finish second.
With a 1.5 kilo claim for Angela Jones, that gets her down to 52.5 kgs, 2.5 kilos less than her last run.
Stepping up to 1350m is another positive, as she won three starts back at Toowoomba over 1300m.
Jones will have her mount up on the pace again and from a nice gate, she looks hard to beat.
