Best bets from leading tipsters
Saturday's best bets are locked and loaded for another cracking edition this week.
Eagle Farm Race 4 Tip #5 Boomtown Lass $3.70
She absolutely flies first up, having won twice and finished second on four occasions from 6 fresh starts.
The Chris Anderson trained mare's form also lines up against the race favourite Usmanov, as she finished a head second to him last prep after giving a 2 length start in the straight.
Glen Boss, who has ridden her on two occasions, will partner her again and from the wide gate has the choice to either push forward near the lead or sit her midfield in the run if they go too quick early.
She has an adaptable racing style and I wouldn't be concerned either way where she settles in the run.
This daughter of Spirit Of Boom has the class and speed to take out this 1000m sprint and keep her excellent fresh record intact.

Flemington Race 5 Tip #3 Yulong January $3.20
This 5YO gelding has returned to his best form this preparation and he's going to be hard to run down in this clash.
He returns back to the Flemington 1400m, a track and tip combination where he has three wins from five attempts.
This includes his last start victory where he sat second and then sprinted clear to defeat Odeon.
Before that he finished second to Dice Roll with Biometric third, who have since come out and franked the form again.
Yulong January can handle all surfaces and from the good gate here, should be able to dominate from an on speed spot with Mark Zahra aboard.

Rosehill Race 1 Tip #4 Sinba $5.00
Keen to oppose the favourite Cape Breton in this first race at Rosehill.
Sinba comes to city grade after a moderate performance midweek at Gosford where he bombed the start, costing him the race as the $1.50 favourite.
Going back to his first run over 1400m, he showed an electric turn of foot at Newcastle after putting his opposition to the sword very quickly in the straight.
That run alone was enough to shorten him into $20 for the JJ Atkins, so the ability is clearly there.
For this assignment, Tim Clark takes the reigns and the blinkers go on, showing real intent from trainers Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou. You can expect him to hold a more prominent position in this outing.
With the weight drop and questions around Cape Breton's form-lines, Sinba is the smart money play.

Bendigo Race 1 Tip #3 Galaxy Ruler $TBD
This gelding has shown plenty at the jump-outs and should be well educated for this.
He stuck on okay with Saasmit in the first jump-out and that galloper went and won by 3L on debut.
In his next hit-out, he was niggled but stuck on with El Rocko and Flying Evelyn who have both shown some ability.
He then went well against Flying Artist and Jungle Magnate, with the latter subsequently winning on debut when beating Mac 'N' Cheese.

Eagle Farm Race 5 Tip #7 The Astrologist $9.00
This gelding really struggles to draw a good gate and will be jumping from the outside again on Saturday.
Despite the tough luck, he's been jumping ok and with decent speed inside for this clash, regular jock Ben Thompson can decide to push forward or slot in and find cover.
His last run when fresh from a spell in the Queensland sun was full of merit. After settling back from the wide gate, he was tightened for room on the turn and straightening before letting down well late.
At his run before the break, he put in a brave performance to finished behind Eleven Eleven in the Magic Millions Quality. He was caught 3 wide no cover on-speed that day and was beaten 1.6 lengths in what was a high pressure race.
Eagle Farm over the 1200m will suit, and Thompson has stuck which is a good sign considering he regularly rides for the connections of Scallopini. He Just need a bit of luck early.

Belmont Race 2 Tip #2 Brooklyn Pier $3.20
Brooklyn Pier is a high-class animal and returns to the track following a 7 month lay-off.
First up last prep, he beat Madam Torio who has since put in some impressive performances in 3YO races. Brookyln Pier now meets that galloper 2kg better off from that day.
Second-up he was beaten by Gemma's Son, who went on to win a Listed 3YO race and an open BM78+ event.
Both career wins for Brooklyn Pier have been first up and he comes here off the back off a solid trial, where he wasn't asked for much while holding off Group 1 winner Kay Cee comfortably.
Madam Torio is a jump and run filly and with the claim for Bennett, she will slide across and run them along. From barrier 2, Steven Parnham will be able to get to the leader's back and in a small, potentially strung out field, will have every chance to get past her.
Brooklyn Pier ticks a lot of boxes today, fingers crossed he brings his best and can get it done.
