Will the best racing tipsters in May please stand-up
The Winter Carnival featured during the punting month of May with the big race meetings rolling out in Brisbane, on the Sunshine Coast and in Adelaide. Typically, punters can find this time of year one of the more challenging periods on the punt given some peculiar factors like:
- assessing races on tracks that they are less familiar with;
- horses meeting in races at different ends of their preparations; and
- the predictability issues associated with some of the Brisbane tracks at present.
In spite of these challenges the overall population of professional punters, Australia's expert racing media and punters having a go in May, faired very well.
As always there were standout performances amongst the long list of elite punters and tipsters.
Best Tipping Profit On Turnover
With his winners averaging a tasty $11.35, Toowoomba punter Addyfro delivered himself and the punters following his tips a huge 116% profit on turnover (POT).
The Queenslander makes no secret of the fact that he relies on his own Blackbooker system for selecting his horses and after this effort it might be one of the more sought after punting insights around.
Close behind Addyfro on the profit leaderboard in May came two form experts from Australia's racing media.
The first runner-up was Tim Edwards whose tips are posted at Sky Racing. Tipping winners with a 44% strike rate, the South Australian race caller at Radio Tab delivered his followers triple figure profit with 104% POT.
Second runner-up was Joel Marshall from one of Australia's most loved racing form guides Best Bets. Marshall found no less than 18 winners from his 56 tips posted during May at average winning odds of $6.29. That's a colossal effort from the Queensland form analyst whose betting advice is in high demand, appearing on no less than three betting sites throughout the week.
Best Cash Profit Tipsters
Another punter stole the show in this category. Danzak, who featured as a place-getter in the April Best Horse Racing Tipster awards went a step further in May after delivering $100 win bet punters a massive $6,620 profit at very healthy average winning odds of $7.08.
Joel Marshall was a dual award winner in May, also placing in this category. Not far behind him was South Australian form expert Lincoln Moore from Super Racing. The Adelaide native delivered $100 win bet punters over $5k in May.
