Best bets for Gold Coast
Queensland racing heads to the Gold Coast this Saturday, where a nine-race card is scheduled.
The feature race of the day is the Group 3 Gold Coast Guineas over 1200m.
The rail is out 1m from the 1000-400m and true for the remainder of the circuit. With warm weather forecast, the track is set to be rated a Good 4.

Saturday racing tip: Gold Coast Race 1 #2 Heritage Sash $4.60
This locally trained galloper has built up an impressive career record (12:3-4-4), having only missed the top 3 on one occasion.
The gelding looks nicely placed here. He won a Class 4 three starts back over this same track and distance, and lost by a pimple in a Class 3 over 1100m last start.
The son of I Am Invincible loves his home track, having won two from four.
He's well in at the set-weights and from barrier 3, look for him to position just off the speed before proving too strong for them late.
Saturday racing tip: Gold Coast Race 8 #8 Command'N'Conquer $4.00
It was certainly an interesting lead up for this Steve Tregea trained gelding.
After kicking off his racing career with three straight wins, he then dropped back to the 900m in preparation for this.
He hit the line hard to finish second in that hit-out, leaving him cherry ripe for the step up in grade to the Gold Coast Guineas.
Expect him to cross from the wide gate to lead them up and with fitness on his side, he should be able to run them into the ground.
He looks ready to fly in what looks set to be a fast run 1200m.
Saturday racing tip: Gold Coast Race 9 #3 River Racer $20.00
Appears to have sneaked under the radar at a long price.
This mare is coming off open handicap sprints at her past few starts, so she should find it easier back against her own sex here.
She finished a head off Outback Barbie last preparation, who would start favourite in this.
In both her races this prep, she has been back and wide. Jumping from the wide draw again here, she will be forced to go back once again.
With solid speed engaged, I expect her to receive a better trail into the race this time.
Look for her to storm home over the top of them late at good odds.
