16/5/20 Morphettville Tips for Saturday Racing

SA carnival rounds out in style
The SA racing carnival comes to a close on Saturday, with a crack field assembled for the state's biggest sprint race of the year, the Group 1 Goodwood.
A number of support races at stakes level will also provide healthy betting propositions, including the RA Lee Stakes.
The favourite appears very hard to beat in that clash, being lightly raced with untapped ability.
In the feature sprint, I am with an outsider from the white hot Danny O'Brien yard who is on target to peak.
Morphettville Track Traits
The Morphettville surface is currently rated a Soft 5, with the rail out 8m from the 1200m to the winning post and 5m for the remainder of the circuit. Fine conditions are predicted in Adelaide for this week and on Saturday.
With the rail well out, it may be a slight advantage to race on or close-to-speed.
As always, a close watch is advised early to determine any fast lanes or bias.
Morphettville Race 7 - R A Lee Stakes (1600m)
The Map 
There is a distinct lack of speed engaged here, with All Too Huiying (1) the most likely to push forward and take up the running.
Expect some of the favoured runners to be ridden closer. These include Harbour Views (5) and Seabrook (11), who should both take up positions forward of midfield.
With only a slow tempo predicted, those with no tactical speed and drawn wide are at a severe disadvantage in this.
The Favourite 
Harbour Views $2.80 is lightly raced (7:5-1-1) and clearly very smart based on SP profile alone, where he has been well fancied at almost every start.
He was good first-up last start at Sandown, when he worked home well from back in the field and did have market support to suggest he is going well.
I expect them to race in a more forward position on this occasion, to negate the risks of a slow tempo.
Even if they crawl, he appears to be too dynamic for them and should be winning.
Analysis & Race Tips 
I have to be with Harbour Views $2.80 who can race much closer to the speed than most anticipate and looks to be still largely untapped.
Waging War $8 ran well in the Toorak Handicap last preparation and will relish the drop down in class. He was good first-up when finishing 4 of 14 here and only 1.9 lengths off the winner. Looks big odds.
Seabrook $4.60 is racing well and has placed at all three runs in this prep. She is one that does have the tactical speed to take a forward position, which appears highly valuable in this type of race shape.
In a race where the sluggish tempo should advantage those that can push forward, Harbour Views goes on top from Waging War and Seabrook.
Morphettville Race 8 - Goodwood (1200m)
The Map
Expect a fast tempo in The Goodwood, with noted speedsters Free Of Debt (12) and Jungle Edge (13) both drawn out and the most likely to carve across to take up the running.
Sunlight (3) and Xilong (1) won't be letting their good draws go to waste, and they should both punch up along the inside early to hold a position on or close to speed.
With Gytrash (12) drawn awkwardly out wide, I suspect that rider Jason Holder's only hope is to be content racing in a three wide position with cover.
The Favourite
Gytrash $3.70 could not have been more impressive when dominating at this track last start.
However, he has a tricky draw from this assignment in barrier 12 and there is a significant risk he could be posted wide throughout.
There's no doubt he is a serious player, however there are genuine speed map challenges and I expect the bigger syndicates to oppose him late in betting.
Analysis & Race Tips
I am in the corner of Order Of Command $13, who won well last start when he was ridden forward and was given a hard close to speed hit out at Warrnambool. This lead-in profile suits and the horse should receive every favour from gate 2, before unleashing hell late.
Lyre $14 is racing well and only just missed (0.2 lengths) here last start, when finishing 2 of 16 in Group 1 level. She has plenty of class and is now rock hard fit.
The Inevitable $7.50 was enormous last start at Flemington when he finished 2 of 14. After being forced to race in the worst part of the track on the inside, he was only just nutted by 0.2 lengths. Given more luck here, he can certainly figure.
I have a slight knock on Gytrash due to the tricky draw in gate 12 and the price is no spoil to find out if he can overcome it. Avoid.
Look for Order Of Command to show up a few of his more fancied rivals at big odds.
