Horse Racing Tips for Caulfield 5/4/25

We’re set for a cracking day of racing at Caulfield this Saturday with plenty of depth across the card and some exciting young stayers lining up in the Galilee Series Final.

I’ve gone through the form closely and found one I’m very keen to back.

Caulfield Tips and Best Bets from Michael Manley

Best Bet –Race 5 Sartorio $2.25

My best for the day is Sartorio in the Galilee Series Final.

He was terrific last start in the Alister Clark Stakes at Moonee Valley, finishing third behind Chandon Burj and Imperialist.

Both of those horses went around in the Australian Derby last weekend, which I think is a strong form reference for this race.

Sartorio’s bred to stay, and I thought the way he hit the line over 2040m last start was really encouraging.

He now steps up to 2400m, which should suit him perfectly.

Emma Lee and David Browne have him going well and this looks like a big drop in class for him.

It’s a good race, but I think he’s the one they’ll all have to hold out.
