Early Mail for Caulfield
Caulfield plays host to a strong Saturday program this weekend, with big competitive fields the theme of the afternoon.
The feature event is the Listed Galilee Series Final over 2400m.
The track is currently rated a Good 4 and with only small showers predicted, horses will be met with a dry racing surface.
The rail is out 10m for the entire circuit and at this set-up, there could be an on-pace advantage early in the meeting with the fresh ground on the fence.

Caulfield Race 3 Tip #4 Pravro $13.00
I'm kicking off with what looks a great each way play here in the BM78 over 1100m, with Pravro going on top at around the $13 quote at time of publication on Thursday.
Third-up into the prep here and looks to be absolutely flying so far. He resumed with a very smart win at Echuca over 1000m in this grade, putting away a nice field by over 2 lengths eased down.
He managed to sit handy to the speed that day, and when presented with a run at the top of the straight he had no troubles putting the field away.
He then went to the 955m challenge final at The Valley last start, and it was an absolute horror watch from start to finish.
He missed the kick and was forced to settle four pairs back on the fence in an awful position for a race of that nature. His chances were gone only a few strides after the gates opened.
In the straight he obviously found a mountain of trouble, and was lucky not to come down soon after straightening as he climbed all over heels.
He got clear inside the last 50m, and his work through the line after all that trouble was very strong. Past the post, he was right on the heels of the winner Sisstar, who has a fair share of talent herself.
Third-up here, he goes back out to 1100m and drops down to BM78 grade only carrying 55kg after the claim for M Cartwright. This weight is 1kg less than he carried fresh when he dominated in the same grade.
He's a winner at the track and trip, finds his right grade and looks to get a nice map to boot.
Maybe I'm missing something but he should be $5, not close to $15!
Caulfield Race 4 Tip #8 Rainbiel $4.80 / #6 Cordilla $5.50
I'm keen on a two bet play here in race four, with the main bet going on the promising Rainbiel who jumps from the widest barrier here with Dean Holland in the saddle.
She's the lone 3YO of the race, and this filly is racing in very good form this prep, as long as you forget the last start run at The Valley in a very strong race.
Sent around well in the market that day, she was disappointing on face value. However, a follow up with the stable indicated she pulled up sore in her off-hind and has since received chiropractic treatment.
Her earlier two runs this prep were outstanding, and I'm tipping she bounces right back to the form that she started with.
She was an absolute certainty beaten fresh at Caulfield behind Diamonds Inthe Sky, held up until the final 100m where she flew and missed in a photo.
She then went to the Group 3 Typhoon Tracy at The Valley, where she was forced to work very hard to cross and lead from the wide draw. She was only run down by the very smart Macroura in the final few strides.
She stuck on to beat Supreme Idea (Listed winner), and Night Raid who finished 7th beaten near 4 lengths has since won a Listed event in Adelaide.
Fourth-up here, back to peak fitness off that slight setback last start, and to top it all off she will only carry 54kg here in this BM84 grade.
She is unbelievably placed here, and if she finds a spot from the wide draw, she will go extremely close.
I'm also having a small saving bet on Cordilla, who was a complete forgive last start in unfavourable conditions.
She's back to a dry track here, and the 2kg claim for Will Price brings her down to a very light weight.
Can bounce back and be hard to beat as well.
