Telly tipsters top the pack
After a huge week in racing that saw the mighty mare bow out in style, it's fitting that one of Australia's most famous media tipsters found himself at the top of the tree.
Ray Thomas has long been the Daily Telegraph's racing editor and marquee racing tipster.
It's therefore no surprise that someone with his experience and knowledge found himself at the summit of the leaderboard for most profit last week.
Top 10 Horse Racing Tipsters for last week
Thomas's tips made the most profit over the past seven days, finding $4,744 for those who followed his selections with $100 bets.
He tipped an incredible 40 winners, at a very impressive strike rate of 34%.
Plenty of Thomas's best bets were also saluting. This is reflected in the "Actual Stake" leaderboard, where his profit jumps to $5,654*.
On top of all these great stats, Thomas's recent form has also been something to behold.
He has recorded a profit in 7 of his past 10 tipping days, demonstrating that he's a man in red hot form.
With one more meet in the Sydney Autumn Carnival to come, plenty will be getting around Thomas's racing tips this week.
Ray Thomas' recent tipping form
The other Telly tipster who had a top week shares more than an office with Ray Thomas.
Simon Thomas found his way to fifth spot on the leaderboard for most profit, after his tips generated just shy of $2K.
He steered his followers into 22 winners at a 34% strike rate, and an average winning price of $3.83. With these stats, it's no surprise that the Sydney specialist produced the goods.
The best punter of the past seven days was victory6, who ended up with $2,870 in cash profit.
Victory6's 16 winners got home at an average winning price a smidgen under $6.
This meant that this pro punter ended the week with an impressive POT of 43%.
But it's been victory6's recent form that has been the best indicator of his ability.
His tips have recorded a profit in 5 out of his past 6 tipping days and there's nothing to suggest that this streak will be ending anytime soon.
Finally, two tipsters from Best Bets deserve a mention for their stellar weeks.
Brendan Tupper and Daniel Nuttall found themselves in 6th and 7th spot respectively for most cash profit.
Victorian expert Tupper just edged out his colleague by the slimmest of margins, after his tips generated an extra $6 in profit.
At a POT of 74%, Tupper was also the more clinical tipster.
But if it's quantity of winners that you're after, Nuttall is your man.
He found 20 over the past week, which helped to continue a hot-streak worth writing home about.
Incredibly, Nuttall has now tipped a profit in 9 out of his past 10 tipping days.
A record that most punters would only dream of.
