This 5YO gelding is very hard to catch, however on his day he can match it with the best of them.
His first up run at Randwick in the Southern Cross was full of merit over the unsuited 1200m.
He strips fitter second up, and gets the perfect set up to strike.
The step up to 1400m is perfect and from the mid draw, jockey Brock Ryan has plenty of options.
There is plenty of speed out wide, so as they attempt to cross, those underneath will attempt to hold them out.
This will allow Chat to roll in behind them at his own tempo.
Brock can make an early move and put him into the best part of the track.
From there Chat can steam home to take out top prize.
Looks a great each-way bet at the price.

This talented gelding relishes rain affected going and looks well suited on a Heavy track.
He's never finished further than 2.7-lengths off the winner, suggesting he's very close to a win.
