Media brigade make their mark
While there were some strong performances by the punters in February, it was the efforts of the media experts that really impressed us.
SKY Racing tipsters proved their dominance once again, with a trio of their race callers making waves.
But it was a veteran racing journalist who fared best, thanks to some outstanding tipping in Sydney.
Read on to discover all of February's top profit-makers.
Best Horse Racing Tipsters: POT
February was a tricky month for most punters, but Caster_Crow had no such difficulties.
He clocked off with a bumper 54% Profit on Turnover, taking out the month's top prize in the process.
Value was the name of the game for Caster_Crow, who found 16 winners at a mouth-watering average price of $8.68.
The standout selection was Brief Sojourn, who booted home at huge $68 odds at Ipswich on the 3rd.
With tips like this, it's no wonder this bloke took out the top gong.
Securing the silver thanks to a 54% POT of their own (although with fewer winners) was Summerbreeze.
This punter also got a hold of some juicy value, after snaring 7 winning tips at an average price of $7.90.
The top pick was Iteza, who saluted over in Funabashi Japan at $21 odds.
This performance saw Summerbreeze round out the season in style, picking up the $250 runners-up prize in the process.
Veteran racing journalist and form judge Steve Zammit rounded out the Profit on Turnover podium thanks to a fantastic February showing.
The Telegraph Racing tipster bagged 14 winners at a very accurate strike rate of 39%, to go along with a handy $3.86 average price.
All the more impressive considering that Zammit tipped in every race at each of the four Saturday Sydney metro meets in February.
His biggest inroads came at Rosehill on the 20th, were Zammit jagged 6 of the 9 winners including the last $9.40 pop Starspangledrodeo in the last.
Punters who backed all of Zammit's February tips with an even stake were tucking into a juicy 50% POT.
Not bad at all.

After Steve Zammit, it was a trio of SKY Racing callers who were the month's top performing media experts by POT.
This is yet another example of the value of backing in the race callers with their selections.
Not only do they watch the races closer than anyone, but they become familiar with the horses and tracks that they cover week in, week out.
South Australian Tim Edwards fared best of the bunch after his tips drove a 39% POT.
His 13 tips greeted the judge at a meaty average price of $4.28.
While Edwards did most of the damage on the mainland, he also got down to the Kangaroo Island meet on 20th, where he bagged his best bet Valentina Star.
What an effort.
From one island to another because Tasmania's Colin McNiff also tipped his socks off in February.
The Tassie caller was on song, finishing up with 18 winners at a phenomenal strike rate of 40%.
While he started off strong at Hobart, it was at Launceston where McNiff did most of his best work.
In fact, McNiff is now showing a three-week winning streak at Launceston.
Terrific tipping.
