Best plays at Moonee Valley
Friday night racing returns to The Valley, where punters a met with a strong 8-race card.
The Group Two Alister Clark Stakes over 2040m is the feature race of the evening.
In what looks a two-horse affair, the Lindsay Smith trained Adelaide Ace has opened the $2.20 favourite.
The track is currently rated a Good 4, but with showers forecast for Friday, a minor downgrade is on the cards.
The rail is in the true position the entire circuit and at this set-up tight turning track looks set to suit on-pace runners.

Moonee Valley Race 2 Tip #2 Necessary
I'm not too concerned about the speed map here as I can't see them going too fast.
Necessary has been racing against better opposition than these. Last start she just went down to Oriental Lily but did give a 4.5 kilo weight difference.
Three starts back at Caulfield she was right behind the in form Paint The Town Two. She can sit right on the pace or just behind the leaders depending how the race pans out.
In this grade I expect her to be back in the winner's circle.
Moonee Valley Race 4 Tip #4 Mystyko
Only a small field of seven runners are engaged here with Cliff's Edge and Faatinah to set the pace.
Mystyko won this race last year carrying only half a kilo less than his 54.5 kilos here.
From barrier five Craig Williams can take a sit behind the leaders and when the time is right, make a run down the outside and win the race for the second straight year.
Moonee Valley Race 7 Tip #2 Nonconformist
The return bout between Adelaide Ace and Nonconformist should be one for the ages.
Adelaide Ace led from start to finish for a well-deserved win in the Autumn Classic at Caulfield .
Nonconformist was brave in defeat and fifty from home almost touched the heels of Adelaide Ace and cost himself any chance of winning.
Nonconformist has a terrific turn of foot and the extra 200m won't be a detriment to his chances.
