Horse Racing Tipster of the Week

There were some cracking performances on the horse racing leaderboard this week, with the pro punters in particular having a good time of it.

But the media experts weren't that far behind, with the likes of Mark Hunter making massive gains for his followers.

First-up, let's dive into the pro punters, and sing the praises of ChewmansRoughies. 

This Broken Hill local has already copped a mention in 2021 for his standout tipping.

This week he dished up the goods once again, finding a monster 181% POT after nailing 3 winners at a mind-boggling average price of $16.83.

This haul included $14 pop I'm Telling Ya that was too good up the straight at Flemington on Saturday, and $27 roughie Every Rose who caused a boilover in the Group 2 Light Fingers stakes at Randwick.

After this fill-up, punters backing each of ChewmansRoughies with $100 bets over the past 365 days are now up $10,620.

The other pro punter to show his class was Victorian Nicko21. 

Like ChewmansRoughies, it was in the major Saturday metro meets that this punter made his inroads.

He bagged 6 of his 10 Saturday selections, and was unlucky not to do better with another 3 of his tips running a place.

Nicko21 had a day to remember

The definite standout was Tagaloa, who bounced back to his best in the CS Hayes Stakes, to salute at fat $13.40 odds.

Nicko21 clocked off with a bumper 153% Profit on Turnover, kicking his 30-day POT up to 52% in the process.

Terrific consistency. 

The best of the media brigade was Best Bets' Adam Williams.  

The form judge provides his tips for both Queensland and Tasmanian racing, and this week it was up in Doomben where he delivered.

Williams jagged 6 of the 9 winners on the card including $13 hope Express Princess in Race 6.

If that wasn't enough, Williams also nabbed 4 winners at Launceston on Wednesday, one of which was his best bet Paion that got home at $9 odds.

All up, Williams' 10 winners greeted the judge at a stellar strike rate of 59% and a meaty average price of $4.14.

It's no wonder he finished up with a hefty 144% POT. 

Also firing on all cylinders and steering his followers into a 137% POT in the process was Mark Hunter. 

The ex-Aussie Rules star has long been a fan favourite for his ability to belt out a mammoth weekly profit.

And this time he did exactly that, after jagging 8 winners at a juicy average price of $7.

It was at Pakenham's Thursday night meet where Hunter really shot the lights out, bagging 3 winners including $41.30 outsider Speed Cube.

Everyone who followed Hunter's 25 tips over the past seven days with $100 bets ended up $3,420 in the black.

This is sensational form heading into the bumper Blue Diamond meet at Caulfield on Saturday.

Punters will be all over Mark's premium race day package, which as well as his tips includes his all-important staking plan and race-by-race analysis.

Harness and Greyhound tipsters of the week

Kicking off with the trots and it was pro punter Harnesswinners who fared best.

He recorded a mind-blowing 265% POT after seeing 2 of his 8 tips salute at a monster average price of $14.60.

This Brisbane local is now showing an impressive 30% POT from all his tips over the past 30 days.

Sticking with the harness tipsters because SKY Racing caller Anthony Collins also deserves a wrap for his latest efforts. 

While most would be familiar with Collins' work with the thoroughbreds, he also calls and tips harness racing. 

And this week he jagged 4 winners up at Redcliffe to generate a 62% POT for his followers.

But what made this performance so special is that it also marked Collins' sixth consecutive winning week.

It doesn't get much better than that.

Finishing up with the greys and it was pro punter Simples who tipped his way to the summit. 

The Sandgroper steered his followers into 3 winners at a strike rate of 33% and a mouth-watering average price of $8.57.

It's no wonder then that he ended up with a mammoth 186% POT.

And considering that these were Simples' first selections of the year, he's clearly come back in fine order.
