Punter Masterclass
It was sheer domination on the leaderboard for most cash profit last week.
Incredibly, 9 of the top 10 spots were held by punters.
Top 10 racing tipsters for cash profit
The one media expert to buck the trend was Ray Thomas, who had a terrific week, tipping winners left, right and centre.
We'll get onto Thomas later, but first let's dive into the punters.
At the top of the tree was Shadowfax, who recorded an enormous $7,860 in cash profit from $100 win bets.
This was after 7 of his selections saluted at a thumping average price of $17.09.
Being a Melbournian, you'd think that Shadowfax must've made inroads at the Caulfield meet on Saturday.
But it was actually at Ascot where he cleaned up, tipping two juicy winners last Wednesday including the 70/1 roughie Majestic Man in Race 5.
It's no wonder he ended up with a monster 192% POT to take out the top gong this week.
Shadowfax goes big in the west
Another punter who had a week to remember was VacantLot.
You might recognise this name, given that he hit a purple patch of form last year.
In fact, VacantLot won back-to-back tipster of the month awards in August and September.
This New South Welshman channelled this form over the past seven days, tipping 11 winners at an average price of $8.
This meant a cash profit of $4,210 if you followed all of VacantLot's tips with $100 bets.
Nothing to complain about there.
Next up is Turfcutter, who backed up last week's effort with yet another profit this time.
With 37 winners and $1,870 in cash profit, Turfcutter just continues to grow his immense all-time profit haul.
This profit now sits in excess of $25K, after no less than 16,189 tips over the years.
Turfcutter's eye watering all time tipping stats
It was his tipping precision that was so impressive this week.
That's because Turfcutter's 37 winners came at a phenomenal strike rate of 42%.
It's no wonder this bloke is one of the best pro punters in Australia with numbers like this.
But now we have to give kudos to Ray Thomas, who showed why he's one of the most trusted media tipsters going around.
Thomas has long been the racing editor of the Daily Telegraph in Sydney, and looking at his results, it's not hard to see why.
This week, he tipped no less than 34 winners.
At an impressive strike rate and average price, this generated $3,160 in cash profit for everyone who followed Thomas's free tips with $100 bets.
With the Autumn Carnival about to arrive, plenty will be looking to Thomas for some quality Saturday racing tips. Get alerted when Ray tips by subscribing here.
