Monster profits and a white-hot tipping streak
Despite Saturday being a good day for the bookies, the last seven days of horse racing saw some punters rake in enormous cash profits.
Incredibly, no less than four punters amassed in excess of $10K in cash profit if you were following their tips with $100 win bets.
A fill-up for punters
Phenomenal as this achievement was, it was actually Winning Post's Tony Rickards who impressed us most with a tremendous tipping hot-streak.
We'll get onto Rickards a little later, but first-up let's look at Jaystar.
This punter from Logan in Queensland ended up with a monstrous $13,880 in cash profit from $100 win bets.
His big haul was helped by a fat average win price of $9.20.
And when you tip 62 winners at this average price, it's no surprise the profit was this big.
Fordcat17 was the next punter to deliver a monster profit for his followers.
This pro punter and mad Geelong Cats fan found 36 winners at a whopping average price of $15.56.
Fordcat17 tipped a stack of winners in double figure odds over the past seven days.
But it was his selection last Tuesday at Toowoomba that really set him up for a cracking week.
The horse's name was Red Calvary and it got home at $83.90 odds in Race 3.
What a tip.
Fordcat17's tips a big roughie
Pro punter Intrepidarts had yet another week to remember.
This time he recorded no less than $12,560 in cash profit.
This Sydneysider has been in some stellar form of late.
In fact, he was the leading profit-maker in last week's article, where he reeled in just shy of $7K.
With almost $20K profit in two weeks, Intrepidarts' tips will be snapped up in the coming days.
But now onto Tony Rickards, who raked in $2,650 in cash profit for everyone who followed his tips with $100 bets.
This Winning Post analyst is in some of the form of his career at the moment.
In fact, he has now recorded 6 profitable tipping weeks in a row.
Tony Rickard's tipping streak
Returning to this week's effort and Rickards had an even better time of it than the numbers suggest.
Change the horse racing leaderboard staking filter setting to "actual stake", and Rickards' profit soars up to $5,840.
This was thanks to his best bet on Saturday, Bonvicini, that saluted at whopping 30/1 odds.
Rickard's best bet boots home
It takes a bit of courage to make a roughie your best bet.
But as someone who has never been short on that in his long and distinguished career, Rickards' bravery paid off.
The final mention goes to Racenet's Laurie Sainsbury, who also got a hold of Bonvinci at Flemington.
This drove a $2,600 profit for the online analyst.
But don't think this was a one-off fluke.
Racenet followers will know that Sainsbury tips several roughies like this each year.
In fact, Sainsbury is sitting on an all-time cash profit of $4,770 after placing 616 tips.
This all-time profit is also the 8th highest on the media tipster leaderboard.
Now that's an impressive achievement.
