It might be a cliche but there's no doubting that the cream always rises to the top. 

That's what we saw this week on the 7 day leaderboard for most profit, with the top three placegetters all well known to those who follow this column.

At the summit was theDott, who rounded out the week with exactly six grand of profit from 73 $100 win bets. This was a great tipping display from the Cairns resident, especially considering he's had to deal with the adverse weather conditions battering North Queensland at the moment.

But true to his "Pro" status, theDott came through with the goods. Not only did he find a monster profit, but he did it at a stellar POT of 81% and at an average winning price of a very meaty $7.05. 

It was a perfect week for the veteran tipster, who found a profit every day from Tuesday the 29th all the way through to Monday the 4th.

Another Pro punter who had a standout week was LuckyStar. This consistent performer would have to be up there as one of the most mentioned tipsters in this column, and once again he had a performance to remember.

LuckyStar made $3,400 for his followers who backed his tips with $100 bets. They would've lapped up the value in the 18 winners he found, which came at an average winning price in excess of $12.

If February continues as it started for LuckyStar, it's going to be a very profitable month.

The best media tipster, who also came in with the bronze medal for most profit this week, was Winning Post legend Tony Rickards. A man of many talents, Rickards gave us a further taste of his tipping nous in a week that saw him earn his followers $2,190 in profit.

Rickards finished with the best POT of the top three, ending up with exactly 100% POT. But it's his recent form that will have punters wanting to jump on his tips.

From his past 10 tipping days, Rickards has made a profit on 7 of them, in what has been a cracking 2019 to date.

Nick Quinn from the Herald Sun is another who's been in good nick.

He's had 7 profitable days from his previous 9, spearheading the $1,910 in profit showing on the leaderboard.

Quinn is another who always seems to be there or thereabouts on the leaderboard for most profit.

And the good news for punters is that Quinny's tips are free in the Herald Sun daily.
