Horse racing tips for Scone 19/11/2024

With Balina's rescheduled race meeting abandoned, Scone is the only racing venue in New South Wales today. The track is currently rated a Soft 7 with eight races set for decision.

Here are my two best bets for today's Scone meeting.

Scone Race 1 #6 Cresta Run $2.60

Raced wide throughout over the 1000m on debut and is sure to derive plenty of benefit from that run. 

She then went to the trials where she was restrained to last before finishing over her rivals, which suggested she's taken a stack of improvement from her debut. 

Drawn barrier 3 today, look for Cresta Run to land midfield with cover, before flying down the middle of the track and powering over the top of her rivals late.  

Scone Race 5 #14 Queen Of A Hand $4.00

This filly by All Too Hard drops back to country grade in search of her maiden breakthrough. First-up she got too far back before flying late to run the fastest last 400m of the meeting. That effort suggests she will relish the rise in trip here. 

She was a little flat second-up in a harder race and looks better suited here. Now out to the 1200m she'll find cover in the run and be poised to strike on turning for home. 

With even luck in transit, she'll be right in the finish and looks a good gamble at the current quote.
