Horse racing tips for Goulburn 18/11/2024

They are racing at Goulburn on Monday with a Heavy track rating after a significant weather event swept across most of New South Wales on Sunday night. Punters have an eight-race program to sink their teeth into and there looks to be some solid opportunities popping out of the form guide.

The last time they raced here on November 9 we had one race run before the meeting was abandoned due to a lack of ambulance availability. Let's hope they have that issue covered today.

Race 2 #2 Stupendo $5.00

A proven fresh performer with plenty of metro racing under his belt, finds a very winnable race first-up. 

His clear career peak comes on a Heavy 9, so he should relish today's conditions. 

He is well in at the weights after the 1.5kg claim for Coriah Keatings and maps for a soft run in transit. 

This looks an ideal set-up to return to the winners' stall and if he's fit enough, he'll be right in the finish. 

Race 6 #6 The Main Event $3.60

This son of Impending gets his chance to break his maiden in a very weak race. 

He arrives here 3rd-up at peak fitness, with that edge likely to be the telling factor over the final furlong. 

Drawn barrier 3, he'll land on-speed with an opportunity to utilise his fitness edge and prove awfully hard to run down.
