In arguably the biggest month on the racing calendar, the media experts stood tall with three of their mob finishing in the top 10 Profit on Turnover (POT) category. 

Not to be over-roared however, the Pro Punters and Punters also put in big strides with some standout performances on some of the biggest race days of the year.

Claiming the top gong in October as well as the $500 cash prize that comes with it, was Pro Punter LouiesTopTips.

The Queensland local ran riot throughout the month, finding 10 winners at an average price of $12.74 to deliver 211% POT.

He had some absolute fill-ups in the process, with a two day romp that would've sent shockwaves throughout bookie's trading rooms around the country.

On the 9th and 10th October, he found 5 double figure pops including $38 Liwa at Ascot.

Coming in second and flying the flag for the media experts was Mitchell Hamilton.

Following a slow start to the month, the Telegraph Racing journalist flew home with a monster Derby Day at Flemington.

He found 4 winners on the card, including Willowy in the Wakefield Stakes paying $13.

He also steered punters into $15 pop at St Arnaud on the 24th to generate 99% POT for October.

He's clearly seeing them like beach balls at the moment, having gone 5 winning days on-the-trot.

Rounding out the podium was WA based Punter Paul08.

This category measures tipping performances based on total cash profit from $100 win bets on each selection.  

In October, it was all about a Pro Punter named Clueless, who clearly has a clue after some of the results he dished up.

Ashdicko11 took runner-up honours, with a cash profit of $11K.
