Tuesday's Best Bets
NSW provincial racing heads to Newcastle on Tuesday, with a short but sweet six-race card ahead.
The rail is out 5m for the entire circuit, with the track currently rated a Good 4.
We've found some value in two runners that have come up big odds and look like great betting opportunities.
Best bets from Michael Gannon
Newcastle Race 1 #2 Bravio $6.00
This gelding by All Too Hard is by no means a moral, but at his current quote of $6 he represents value.
His previous two first-up runs have been solid enough to suggest he can fire fresh and the blinkers go on again today which is a sign of intent.
He ran a nice third when under wraps in a recent trial over the 1000m at Wyong and retains the services of Luke Cumberland for that effort.
From barrier 4 here, look for him to jump and settle in an on-speed position and will no doubt give a huge sight at his home track!
Looks well over the odds and can upset the favourite.
Newcastle Race 4 #7 Tipping Point $7.50
This galloper from the William Freedman stable opened big odds ($10) and has been met with some early market support.
His debut run was super. After being bumped on jumping, he showed good early speed to rail under a few gallopers and sit fifth on the fence.
He closed off well into fourth, but looked as though he would relish a more spacious racetrack and a rise in distance.
Today he gets both of those, stepping out to the 1350m and racing on the Newcastle track.
If he can take natural improvement from his first to second career run, he'll give his a shake.
