19/11/20 Best bets at Hawkesbury

Hawkesbury is the venue for NSW racing today, with 7 races ahead for punters. 

We'll be looking to strike early in the day, building the bank for Rosehill's Friday twilight meeting and The Gong at Kembla Grange on Saturday. 

The track is currently rated a Good 4 and with warm weather forecast, we should see an upgrade at some stage.

The rail is in the true position and at this set-up, it wouldn't surprise to see front-runners reap the rewards of the fresh patch of grass on the inside.

Hawkesbury Race 1 Tip #7 Escape Artist $2.60

This filly from the Mark Newnham stable put in two solid runs in her first campaign.

Both of those runs came on Heavy tracks and I think we'll see the best of her now that she's back on a drier racing surface today. 

She's had two nice trials in readiness for this and the booking of the in-form Rachel King suggests she's ready to fire.

Newnham has demonstrated that he knows how to get his horses ready first-up, striking at 22% over the past 12-months when fresh. 

The filly appears to have relished her time in the spelling yard and her two trials leading into this have been encouraging.

She draws to stalk the leaders for this clash and with even luck on turning for home, she'll poke her head through before showing a superior turn of foot late.
