Best plays for Friday night racing
Canterbury hosts its first twilight meeting of the season tonight, which coincides with a strong Moonee Valley card in Melbourne. It's safe to assume that punters will be up and about on Friday night this week!
There are 8-races set for decision, in what looks to be a wide open meeting.
The rail is in the true position and the track is currently rated a Soft 5, with evening showers predicted.
At this set-up, on-pace runners are favoured around the tight turning Canterbury track. Rails in the run is also a huge advantage, so keep an eye out for those who can sit on the leader's back later in the evening.

Canterbury Race 1 Tip #2 Selburose $2.00
This filly from the Chris Waller yard impressed last start, running the talented Lord Olympus to within 0.8 lengths.
At her start prior, she ran the smart Ellsberg to the same margin. She meets only a moderate field tonight and if she repeats the dose, she'll be winning.
Jumping from barrier 1, expect the filly to land on the rail and take a sit on the leader's heels for the gun trail.
The booking of Nash Rawiller suits and tonight should be the night for this girl.

I'm sticking strong with the Waller stable early on, this time with a filly by Frankel who is reaching peak fitness and is well suited at the 1550m.
She's made steady ground late at her first two-starts and with even luck last start, she would have finished much closer. But that's the nature of the great game.
From barrier one and with Tim Clark aboard, you'd expect her to be ridden more forward.
With even luck on turning for home, she could well put these away in a few strides.
