Punter posts 10k profit
This week's Top 10 had its fair share of pro punters and racing media experts sharing the spoils from the final week of the Spring Carnival. Amongst them all one punter stood-out with a massive $10k profit from $100 bets placed on his tips.
Boomgates31 is a veteran punter from the southern suburbs of Adelaide. Over the past seven days, he found an astonishing 53 winners at a fat average price of $8.67. These figures are remarkable, and the main reason behind the massive profit that he generated from his tips.
Residing in Adelaide, you would expect that him to clean up at Morphettville. But this wasn't the case, as this astute punter was finding winners at just about every racecourse in the country. With 53 winners notched up over the week, it's no surprise that boomgates31 smashed through the ten grand ceiling.
Another punter who excelled was LuckyStar. This pro punter is a multi award winner and frequently finds himself mentioned in this column. Another 14 winners at a cracking average price of $8.77 saw LuckyStar's followers make over $4k in profit from $100 win bets which represented a super-impressive 52% POT.
But it wasn't just the punters who were getting in on the act, with the racing media also having an outstanding week.
The best of this mob was Brendan Tupper. One of longest serving form analysts at the much loved Best Bets, Tupper knows each track in Australia's coffee capital like the back of his hand and so it's no surprise to see him flourish at Sandown on Saturday, steering his followers into Yogi and The Taj Mahal among other winning tips.
While Tupper's tips returned more than two grand in profit, it was his POT that was his most impressive statistic. 71% over the past 7 days is superb and that's just part of the overall picture, with his 30 day profit sitting at a healthy 22% POT.
Paul Kelly from Winning Post also had a week to remember. His 9 winning tips from 17 selections (53% strike rate) represents a freakish return and led his followers into a whopping 119% POT.
Since his tips were first recorded on the site in August, Kelly is sitting on an all-time profit of $2,164 which is 9% POT. Considering this is the product of 231 tips, Kelly can certainly take a bow.
Kelly, and not to mention some of his Winning Post colleagues, have regularly featured among the media's best tipsters of late. This proves that Australia's most popular racing mag is still one of the best form guides on the market.
And finally, an extra special mention is due for Turfcutter, who yet again had a profitable week after finding no less than 39 winners. Because of this effort, Turfcutter goes to the summit of the leaderboard as the highest all time cash profit maker on the site. From $100 bets, Turfcutter's profit now sits in excess of twenty-seven thousand dollars.
