Warwick Farm Race 5 Tip #10 Appian Way $4.60
This mare from the Peter & Paul Snowden yard was gallant in defeat last start and ticks plenty of boxes here.
With the blinkers on, she showed plenty of fight over the 1100m and only needs to repeat that dose to be winning this.
While she meets the boys this time around, the competition is thin and the 1kg weight relief is a positive.
From the nice draw in barrier two, look for Tommy Berry to mark her urgent from the gates and make every post a winner.
Geelong Race 7 Tip #3 Prince Of Arran $3.50
Astonishingly, the runner-up in the Group Two Herbert Power Stakes and third-placegetter in the 2018 Melbourne Cup must win the Geelong Cup in order to gain entry into the this year's big dance.
That makes him a great betting proposition, with punters knowing the stable will have the gelding in top condition.
At his best, he has lengths on this lot.
The draw in barrier 11 is not ideal, but I suspect Michael Walker will take luck out of the equation and press forward with confidence.
Look for him to sit just off nominated leader Haky in the run and his class to prevail in the staying battle.
Expect connections to stamp their ticket to Flemington in a fortnight.

Warwick Farm Race 3 Tip #6 Statuesquely $2.80
This mare has always shown a stack of ability and went into the black-book after her first few trials.
She didn’t take long to knock off her maiden and then found herself in Group 3 company during her first preparation.
She was unsuited on the Heavy 10 on that occasion, finding the talented Baccarat Baby and Junipal too strong.
Her two trials this time in show that she's come back in good condition and has taken improvement from the spell.
Look for her to settle on-the-speed and use barrier one to kick-up and lead without using too much petrol. From there she will be hard to catch.
Expect her to jump at shorter odds.
