Dicko's Mighty Play
Racing returns to Sandown this Saturday with a competitive 10-race card set to unfold on a quality surface.
With the rail out 6m, this is widely regarded as one of the fairest track positions.
This will ensure that almost all runners will get their chance to win, provided the tempo plays out evenly.
The Mailbag Bloodstock team has a couple of runners engaged throughout the day, including Shiny New Deel stepping out in Race 7.
This is a galloper who looks over the odds and should be very competitive.
Later in the program, Windstorm takes on the last race on the Lakeside track, a horse that always demands respect.

Best Bet – Race 6 #13 Mighty $7.00
Mighty looks an outstanding betting proposition this Saturday, and for those who like an each-way play, there is certainly value to be had.
Why Mighty Can Win:
- Blinkers back on – A clear intent signal from the stable and an indicator she may settle further forward in the run.
- Track and Distance Suits – Her last win came at Sandown Hillside over BM70 level, proving she handles the circuit well. The drop back from 1100m to 1000m combined with the blinkers should allow her to cruise at a higher tempo before unleashing late.
- Trainer/Jockey Combination is on Fire – Blake Shinn links up with Moody/Coleman, a pairing that has won six races from their last 15 rides together. Their current Profit on Turnover (POT) sits at 33.6 percent, outperforming market expectations.
Mighty has all the key indicators of a strong winning chance and should be storming over the top of her rivals late.
The price on offer represents huge value, and she is one of the best bets of the day.
