Gator's Saturday Best Bets
All ratings for Geelong are for a Good track, with the rail back in the True position.
Last meeting, the rail was out 10m for most of the circuit, and winners came from all positions, suggesting a fair playing surface.
At Randwick, ratings are also for a Good track with the rail at 3m.
Recent meetings (6m on Boxing Day and 3m last Saturday) have seen the track play fairly, though being off the hard inside rail may be slightly preferred.

Bet of the Day (Melbourne)
Geelong – Race 5 No.10 – Don’t Hope Do
Don’t Hope Do has been excellent in both runs this preparation.
First-up, he defied the pattern of the day at Cranbourne with a strong performance, and second-up, he led and kicked strongly to win at Ballarat.
Notably he was the last winner on the rail that day, highlighting his toughness and versatility.
He’s in great form and looks hard to beat here.
Bet of the Day (Sydney)
Randwick – Race 7 No.9 – Amazing Eagle
Amazing Eagle is a promising type who resumed with a strong win in the Brian Crowley Stakes, followed by a very good run at Doomben, where he finished between the subsequent quinella from the Group 3 Vo Rogue Plate.
Freshened up for this, he’s trialled sharply and looks set to deliver a peak performance.
He has the class to be a standout in this field.
