Best bets from leading tipsters
While we can't all purchase the next Winx at the Magic Millions sales, we can sure have our share of enjoyment by backing some winners on raceday.
Some of our leading analysts have settled on their best plays across the country.
Read on to see who they like on this jam-packed day of racing.

Gold Coast Race 9 #4 Miami Fleiss $2.70
This Tony Gollan trained mare has won 5 of her 8 starts to date and looks set to add to that.
Two of her three defeats have come on heavy tracks so she will be greatly improved back on top of the ground.
She was a dual accepter for this meet, forgoing the Magic Millions for Fillies and Mares, as connections opted to take on this field of open class sprinters.
This mare is still progressing in her career and connections will take confidence that she has won at the track and distance before.
Over the 1300m there should be little pressure and she will string them along at a solid clip before hitting the go button prior to the bend.
Stephanie Thornton who has ridden her in her past two victories will urge her to put a gap on the field in the straight where she will prove very hard to run down.

Flemington Race 3 #7 Somerset Maugham $2.70
Unlucky last start at Flemington over 1600m as he was held up for a run until it was too late.
When he finally got into the clear, he finished strongly to finish second behind Designer Chef who had stolen a march on him.
From barrier eight Jamie Kah will be able to get clear running throughout.
This 7YO gelding is very versatile, therefore if caught wide can muster in a forward position.
The race does not appear to have much speed on paper so this may end up being the preferred strategy.
The step up to 1700m over the Flemington circuit will suit him perfectly.
Look for him to bounce back.

Rosehill Race 2 #3 Metallicity $2.00
I very rarely would I put a debutant as my best bet but the confidence is high with this colt trained by the Snowdens.
I love the way he covered the ground in trials with his long stride and turn of foot.
His latest trial at Rosehill was over the 900m and the step up in distance will be perfect as he was only getting warm late.
Lands in a terrific position from the barrier, likely stalking the leaders.
Strongly believe he should be able to stamp his presence as a contender for the 2YO features coming in the Autumn.

Ascot Race 6 Tip #5 Deputano $4.80
Deputano can be a very hard horse to catch for punters. Her best is very capable, her worst is well below average.
She has given me every indication that Lindsey Smith is working his magic to bring her to race day on her A-game.
Deputano ran a very nice trial before a slashing fourth when first up. Out of that race Fairy Fast (2nd) has run 2nd again just getting picked up on the line and Bruce Almighty (3rd) never looked like losing last Saturday.
Deputano drops from a 66+ to a 60+ for this second up run today. A previous second up winner and winner over the 1500m, she definitely ticks a lot of boxes in a field of this caliber.
Barrier 10 is not as bad as it looks, as she can be slowly away and will likely get back in running.
Our Norman and Peppijack should be the leading pair.
Paul Harvey will partner this horse for the first time on Saturday. He will get in a 3 wide lane with cover and if something can cart him into the race, they can savage the line and finish right over the top.
