We managed to get both lay selections beaten last week when Doull (Flemington) and Hameron (Rosehill) both failed to salute.
This week we are against two popular favourites in key feature races on each major card.
At Flemington, a horror draw and high-quality field will bring one undone.
While at Randwick, the J Mac tax and racing manners are not appetising for another shorty in the market.
Remains undefeated after the 5 career starts, however this looks like her toughest test to date with a deep field stacked with Group quality.
The draw here out in gate 11 looks horrific, meaning they are likely to be forced to race wide throughout and need some luck to be looping the entire field.
There is also a very strong Sydney contingent entered with Zapateo and Written Beauty both of high-calibre, not to mention QLD and SA raiders Isotope and Another Award.
The mugs will chime in on the back of her undefeated status and expect the price is already severely over-bet.
The strong competition and the bad draw are likely to be enough to bring her unbeaten run to an end.
Avoid.
Won well last start here at Randwick, when had the dream run just in behind the leader and looked “blessed” to my eye.
She over-raced last start when keen throughout, and if she shows any of those bad manners against a gun field she is likely to be rolled.
The mugs will be happy to pay the J Mac tax again, with the price compressed and poisonous due to him taking the ride.
She also comes out of a slowly run race over the 1200m last start, and this is not ideal when stepping up to 1400m.
Look for her to blow out late in terms of fitness if this is truly run.
Happy to be against her as the spruik horse, and with significant challenges to overcome if this is a fast run race.
Lay.
