He raced up on the speed and they ran 1.67 seconds (10 lengths) faster than the other 1630m race on the same day. He managed to finish a length ahead of Junction on that occasion, who he clashes with again here.
He does have a touch of class, excelling towards the end of his three-year-old prep where he won and placed at Group 3 level. He will now strip fitter and be ready to produce a big third-up run.
Jockey Michael McGillivray should take up the running out in front this time and be able to control the tempo of the race.
Look for him to be able to gain a break and kick clear in the straight, before proving very hard to run down.
Belmont Race 7 Tip #4 Cliffs of Comfort $3.80
Cliffs of Comfort is a 1200m specialist who backs up after suffering the narrowest of defeats last week, after looking home at the 100m.
He was edged out by Celebrity Queen, who figures to play a big role in some of WAs feature sprint races.
He is dropping back to 72+ company here, where he won comfortably three starts ago. He also boasts an impressive 4 starts for 3 wins and the aforementioned second over the 1200m.
Cliffs of Comfort has a high cruising speed and from barrier 4, he should be able to find the rail.
From there, he will be very hard to catch.

The form from this mare’s maiden win at Hawkesbury in April has been franked, with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed horses have all gone on to salute.
The way in which she won that clash was impressive too, sitting wide with no cover the trip but still proving strong late.
The recent trials have been good, and she should be fit enough to produce a win first-up in this clash.
