Tuncurry hosts a tricky eight race card on Friday, as punters look to build a bank for the action on Saturday.
The track is currently rated a Soft 7 and fine weather is forecast for the NSW Mid-North Coast region.
The rail is in the true position, which will slightly favour on-pace runners.
From the stewards
There are several horses who have featured heavily in the pre-steward's report for this meeting.
The one I want to mention is Bandahara, running around in race 5.
The Fastnet Rock gelding had no luck last start at Taree, after being held on several occasions in the home straight and was unable to shift wider.
Once he obtained clear running around the 200m mark, he failed to respond and ran to the line one-paced.
Expect a much more improved run this time.

After a year off, the Pierro gelding returns to the track and finds himself in the fresh scenery of the Hunter.
Formerly with the Waterhouse/Bott stable, this galloper is now under the care of Nathan Doyle.
Doyle has given him the one trial in preparation for this hit-out, where he performed well after being held together throughout.
This is by far the easiest race of his career being back to country level, and the proposition of a Soft track won't hinder his chances.
Koby Jennings will take the ride which looks a good booking, though the draw does look tricky.
From wide out, expect Jennings to stride forward and attempt to either lead or sit just off the lead.
If he can get a kind run throughout, he will be right in the finish.

Race 6: 5, 6, 7, 9
