A second week of fine weather will see Sydney siders out in force this Saturday at the races.
The track improvex to a Good surface and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.
A fantastic weekend of racing is ahead, with the stars of the future on display.
Rosehill Race 3 #1 Born A King $3.50
I am glad they brought this horse back to Sydney for this event as it looks classes above his rivals.
At his last start at Flemington, he got caught in a traffic jam turning for home, after landing three back the fence.
It wasn't until the 200m mark that he saw clear running, before unleashing along the rail.
The inside lanes were well off on that race day and he did tremendously well to grab second, against the winner who was in the right part of the track.
He returns to Rosehill where he has a brilliant record (3:2-0-0) and gets to the right distance to challenge.
The claim for young apprentice Dylan Gibbons brings him down to 59kg and he draws soft in barrier 5.
He will land midfield with cover and be able to get to the right part of the straight turning for home.
A confident best bet at the start of the card.
Rosehill Race 5 #10 Grace And Harmony $3.80
Grace and Harmony was desperately unlucky last start after sustaining a long run from the back.
Once in the straight, she had to check off heels at a crucial stage to go down a pimple.
She has no doubt returned in great order.
The form out of her last start has stacked up well with Pizarro and Niffler both since bolting in.
She steps up 100m in trip which suits, drops in weight, and the small field allows her to sit closer to the speed.
Kerrin Mcevoy is in the saddle with 53.5kg which you don’t often see.
Rosehill Race 7 #12 Gracilistyla $18.00
This classy galloper was caught wide the trip last start, before encountering a significant check in the home straight.
That check halted his momentum, however he regrouped and ran on well into 4th.
He was always going to derive plenty of benefit from that run and he'll be ready to fire on Saturday.
The booking of Hugh Bowman is a fair indicator of that and he looks to have landed in a very winnable race.
From barrier 8, Bowman can land just forward of midfield in the running line, behind what is predicted to be a hot tempo.
He looks well suited out to a high-pressure 1500m on his home track and we get huge odds to find out.
