Over the coming weeks, we'll be releasing his early oil and comments on key runners, starting with the Golden Rose.
The race for three-year-olds is one of the highlights of the Sydney Spring Carnival, with some of the country's best young horses doing battle over 1400 metres.
Let's see which runners David Gately has earmarked...
ANAMOE
Looks a good target race for him. All his form as a 2YO was excellent in elite races, and he was so dominant at 1400m at end of that prep.
CONVERGE
Found line nicely in recent trial indicating he has come back very well. Has significant upside!
REMARQUE
Trial star before good/luckless return when stopped cold before picking up and hitting the line. Expensive youngster beautifully related, in right stable! Fancy measures up.
STAY INSIDE
His Golden Slipper was was exceptional chasing hot speed and racing away, the sign of a tremendous athlete. Beat Anamoe there. Trials have been even, well, superb !!
