Midweek Victorian metropolitan racing takes place at Cranbourne on Wednesday, with deep fields and competitive racing the theme of the day.
It will be a cold winter's afternoon in Melbourne, with a top of 11 degrees and rain predicted.

This mare was in a blanket finish with Sky Horse and Tooridin when running third at Sandown two starts back.
Both of those gallopers have gone on to win two races, with Sky Horse competiting in Group company at his last two events.
Emerald Crown was then sent to Ballarat, where she finished an encouraging second over 1400m.
The connections have given her plenty of time to improve since that hit-out, and she now returns to the track from a 22 week spell.
Look for her to roll forward and be in this a long way.

Cranbourne Race 3 Tip #1 Alterno $10.00 each-way
This four-year-old gelding comes to Cranbourne on the up after a luckless run at Sale last start.
He was bolting for a run along the inside but once he got into the clear, he caught the eye when rocketing home into the placings.
He was first-up on that occasion, so he would have taken plenty of fitness from the outing.
He looks well suited here stepping up an extra 100m and has drawn well to sit handy behind the leaders.
The Gary Carson trained galloper looks to get every chance to break his maiden today at a decent price.
