Wyong hosts a cracking eight race card on Tuesday, with competitive fields and plenty of value on offer for punters.
The track is currently rated a Soft 5 and fine weather is forecast for the NSW Central Coast town.
The rail is in the 3m position, which should offer on-pace runners an advantage.
From the stewards
The horse that stands out in the pre-steward's report here is Special Date, who lines up in race 6.
The Snitzel filly had good stats leading into her last start failure, where she had excuses.
From the awkward draw, she was ridden against her normal racing pattern and settled mid-field. Approaching the 600m mark, she was in an unfavourable position close to heels and wasn't suited.
Jockey Louise Day stated that the filly will take plenty of fitness out of the clash, whilst a post-race examination showed that she was slow to recover.
The trainer has since advised his intention to have her ridden more forward here.
After scratchings, she's set to jump from barrier 5 and I expect her to be marked urgent from the gates.
Look for her to roll forward and be very hard to run down.

Jockey to follow
Tom Sherry rides the Wyong track as well as any jockey.
In the past 12 months, Sherry has ridden here 45 times for 12 wins, at 27% strike rate.
He has 5 rides today, with his best chance coming in race 5 on Patrina.
I've identified 2-races on today's card that represent good betting opportunities.

The Zoustar filly ran well at her Newcastle debut and looks set to go one better today.
After starting well she was restrained near last, before hitting the line with gusto into second place.
Young gun Andrew Adkins replaces Tommy Berry for the ride today and will be raring to go.
Adkins is a talented jockey but gets limited chances for the big stables, so we know he'll be giving his all on this filly.
The extra 100m today is ideal and jumping from barrier 3, the filly will get her chance to sit just off the leaders for an economical run.
With even luck on turning for home, she can produce her strong finish and prove too classy for this field.
Race 5: 1, 3, 4
Race 6: 2, 14
Race 7: 1, 2, 5, 7
Race 8: 3, 4, 9, 10
