Saturday's best bets are locked and loaded for another cracking edition this week.
Ipswich Race 8 Tip #10 Axe $3.70
This Michael Costa trained galloper has worked his way through the grades beautifully this preparation.
He was an easy winner over this distance two starts back defeating Dr Why Not and Superium. Superium then franked the form by winning in listed company last Saturday at Eagle Farm.
Axe followed that win with an excellent third in the Group 3 BRC Sprint behind Emerald Kingdom. Tofane crossed the line next to him in that run and that mare won the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap last week.
Regular jockey Jag Guthmann-Chester is on board and he can use his early acceleration to clear the field from the wide gate.
There isn’t a ton of speed in this race so if he gets an easy enough run at the head of affairs, he'll take a power of beating.
Guthmann-Chester can kick him clear in the straight and get too much of break on these for an all the way victory.
Flemington Race 8 Tip #13 Dice Roll $3.70
Imported galloper who couldn't have been more impressive winning both of his Australian starts since joining the Nick Ryan stable.
He hasn't run since he won at Sandown Hillside in early May, where he defeated two of his rivals in this clash being Yulong January and Biometric.
That pair have subsequently won three races between them with Yulong January having scored twice.
Additionally, Dice Roll will meet him 2.5 kilos better than their last encounter even after beating him.
Dice Roll will also love the fast speed in this and he handles wet tracks.
Rosehill Race 5 Tip #13 Miracle Street $17.00
Keen to follow this lightly raced 4YO Mare out of the Hawkes camp this weekend.
Her last run at Warwick Farm was full of merit, where she tackled the 1300m for the first time. The camp were obviously keen as she was backed from $7.00 into $4.20 SP favourite.
She loomed up to win but peaked late to finish 0.9 lengths off Van Giz who ran well again in midweek company just a few days ago.
She steps down in distance to 1100m and will be rock hard fit for this assignment.
With the good draw and an abundance of speed out wide, jockey Brenton Avdulla has the option of pushing forward to challenge for the lead or sit midfield and watch the race unfold.
She ticks the box of having heavy form and drops 1.5kg from her last run as well.
At the current quote, she represents enormous value for a strong each way play.
Murray Bridge Race 3 Tip #3 Ashburton $3.60
This filly has been given time since her debut run at Kilmore and on that day, she was reported to have been troubled by lameness.
She travelled well in a recent jump-out along with Jump the Broom, who was a subsequent winner on debut.
She went around in the most recent jump-out against Ellis Park, and that galloper was very competitive at his next start in benchmark 70 grade.
Flemington Race 5 Tip #9 Kurubui $1.85
There is nothing special about the price but Kurubui should put this field to bed.
Despite the fact she steps up in grade against the boys and takes on Saturday grade for the first time, she has been winning with ease and takes strong form-lines into this clash.
She carried 61kg last start and beat La Chevalee who should've won in Sydney with a kinder run.
At the start before, she belted Perennial who motored home recently at Sandown.
Gun Jockey Jamie Kah can push forward if required and I expect her to make it 5 in a row.
Belmont Race 3 Tip #5 Timely Outburst $2.45
This is a nice race with some quality runners, but the form of Timely Outburst sticks out the most to me.
Three starts back, this 3YO filly beat home Material Witness who is a subsequent winner.
At her run two starts ago, she finished second to The Spruiker who has also saluted since.
Then at her most recent outing, she ran second to Graceful Girl. That galloper has since notched up a victory in Listed grade, beating Billy Ain't Silly who is the Guineas favourite later in the program. The form-line certainly stack up!
This race looks to be lacking genuine tempo, with Vane Tempest and Timely Outburst set to lead them up.
Timely Outburst maps well and I expect her to be too good for this lot .
