Leading racing analysts reveal their best bets for midweek racing around the country.
Sunshine Coast Race 5 Tip #1 Goldsborough $2.60
This bloke boasts a win over smart filly Isotope, who recently ran a close second in the Group 2 Arrowfield.
Isotope has also won two Listed races, meaning this son of Headwater looks very well placed to take out this midweek Class 3.
Last start, he finished 1.15 lengths third to Kisukano who is also a proven performer in the three-year-old ranks.
Goldsborough is trained locally by Gary Duncan and she has already recorded a win over this track and distance.
Regular jockey Ben Thompson will partner him again and from barrier 3, he'll be able to give him a cushy run and sit behind the leading pair.
Expect his class to prevail and another win notched up for him.
Canterbury Race 4 Tip #5 Miss Fox $7.00
Miss Fox returns to the races for her second run this campaign in conditions that suit her perfectly.
First-up she got fractious in the gates and blundered the start, which cost her any chance of winning.
Her two trials prior were full of merit, where she was strong to the line both times under a hold.
Josh Parr takes the ride and with the blinkers on for the first time, I expect this lightly raced 4YO mare to hold a prominent position in the run.
At the current quote, she represents enormous value.
Sale Race 2 Tip #2 Arentee $2.80
This colt recently matched motors with the smart Argentia in a jump-out, with that galloper winning impressively on debut at Flemington over the weekend.
At his next jump-out, he was asked for an effort late and responded well to finish off nicely.
He lines up here for his first career start and has attracted early support in the market, giving us another vote of confidence.
One to follow.
Canterbury Race 1 Tip #1 Mura Mura $3.80
In what looks an open day at Canterbury, this Snowden trained filly is well placed to strike first-up from a spell.
She looks suited down in grade after contesting much stronger races last preparation, including a placing in the Golden Gift over 1100m at Rosehill.
I have liked the way she has trialled in preparation for this first-up effort, with a win in her latest over 1050m.
She maps to get first use of the rails in front, handles wet tracks and the 1100m looks perfect for the daughter of Not A Single doubt to break her maiden.
