Our Market Movers report continued its good form with another profitable Saturday last week. The report picked three winners from eight starters giving punters 45% profit on turnover for an even stake on each selection.
Money is again flowing in early betting markets and the selections below represent an excellent lead in revealing runners that have been singled out by professional informed money.
Tony Nicconi
Has not been seen in public at all and must be showing plenty behind closed doors at Euroa to warrant this savage move in betting. This stable are lethal when they bet and go home with the cash more often than not. $12 into $5 has to be respected anywhere. Expect a huge run on debut.
Rillito
Finally we have one that is well backed from team Godolphin who have been quiet of late on the betting front. Always respect the money when it is associated with a big stable purely because the operations team is so large and information swirls quickly and decisively in regards to which horses are going well. The money looks spot on here following the brave second to Showpero last start, who could be a group horse.
Usain Bowler
Lightly raced and has great Valley form at his past two runs. Trainer John Sadler likes a bet and that is a strong lead in itself. The booking of Damien Oliver shows they mean business and the speed map is also attractive, where should be able to race close to speed with cover. Exhibits all the favours to be winning here.
So Poysed
A huge move in early betting here for this gelding. Suspect it is largely due to the Eusebio form line, a horse that has been very impressive when beating home some very smart ones recently.
Looks to be one that the stable and connections are trying to set up, after what can only be described as a very “quiet” ride last start where they snagged well back in the run without showing any great urgency throughtout the race. Smells of a betting sting.
Kennedy
The second Godolphin runner to feature this week and the same theory applies as outlined with Rillito above. Arrives here first up following a campaign last prep where he took on plenty of quality including Siege of Quebec, Spending To Win and Single Bullet. That form trumps most of these and although he takes on the older horses as a 3yo, certainly deserves his chance.

Bluebrook
Has excellent form this prep against quality opposition including Envy of All, Miss Exfactor and Fit For Purpose. Has to take on the older horses here again, however proved last start she is right up to it when just missing in benchmark 75 level at Ipswich. Has been very confidently backed. Yes.
The Fire Trap
When they back a Mathew Dunn runner you have to take notice as he is one of the masters of a good old fashion “set up”. Has been well supported in betting at both runs this prep, at his latest outing he was backed from $20 into $12 late before being held up during the run, when finishing 4 of 13 at Ipswich. That effort was full of merit and can atone here. Top hope.
Seaway
High quality Sydney visitor from the powerful Waller yard. Last start got back and was forced to track wide throughout when missing narrowly against the talented Sambro, in the Queensland Guineas. That form at Group 2 level is classes above what most of these bring and the market have not ignored this. Should simply blow them away.
Winter Bride
The Segenhoe horses are flying at the moment with this column identifying the vicious move in betting for Granny Red Shoes last week.
The stable love to bet and they are at it again with this runner. The big chop by bookies from $2.80 to $2.35 indicates more than just strong investment but also that the money was from a smart and respected punter. Has the form and will go very close.
