While it's usually the pro punters and media experts battling it out for bragging rights, this time it was the regular punters who stood tall.
They claimed four of the six podium positions, racking up some monster profits in the process.
The pro punters also had success, with one in particular featuring in the highest Profit on Turnover (POT) category for the second month running.
And the media tipsters weren't all that far behind, with horse racing tipsters from Racing.com and SKY Racing having the best of it.

Claiming the month's top gong thanks to a thumping 151% POT was pro punter Usman123.
The Sydneysider got a hold of some mind-boggling value, with his 6 winners greeting the judge at a huge average price of $21.35.
The definite standout came right near the end of the month, with Usman123 bagging Balmontgomery at Geraldton on the 29th.
This rank outsider got up at massive $87.20 odds, ensuring Usman123 walked away with the gold.
A roughie make your eyes water
Securing the silver for the second month running was fellow pro punter Gary Monahan.
Also calling the harbour city home, Monahan has been on fire with his Saturday selections through the Sydney Autumn Carnival.
His biggest inroads came on Day Two of the Championships, where Monahan bagged two $20+ pops in two of the day's Group 1 races.
All up, Monahan jagged 7 winners across April, at an insane average price of $23.
This generated a whopping 118% POT for this pro, whose horse racing tips have now driven $7,660 in cash profit over the past 90 days.
Rounding out the podium with an impressive 107% POT was Queensland punter Oldrogue.
The Gold Coast local also bagged stacks of value, with his 19 winners greeting the judge at an enormous average price of $19.16.
The roughest of the lot came on the first of the month, where Oldrogue bagged $90 pop Ladies' Gem at Gosford.

There were some mammoth cash profit hauls in April, headed by what PeterHayes dished up.
The Tasmanian punter ended up generating an outrageous $21,340 from his horse racing tips.
He bagged 164 winners at an average price of $6.53, at a strike rate just shy of 20%.
And with PeterHayes having turned $320 into nearly $21K over the past 180 days, he's also very consistent.
Phenomenal numbers.

As well as featuring on the POT podium, Oldrogue picked up the silver in the cash profit category.
With the number of roughies he was finding, it's no surprise that his tips drove $18,880 in cash profit.
This bloke will be up and about after a superb month on the punt.
Making it a clean sweep for punters on the cash profit podium was New South Welshman Shane079.
He steered his followers into no less than 242 winners in April, at a fat average price of $6.21.
Anyone who had the funds to follow all of Shane079's 1355 tips with $100 bets would've racked up an enormous cash profit of $14,670.

The media experts were firing in April, with tipsters from Racing.com and SKY Racing heading the pack.
Coming out on top with a bumper 45% POT was racing journalist and form judge Grace Ramage.
She had tremendous success at Caulfield during April, with all 13 of her winners coming at the Heath.
They saluted a juicy average price of $4.12 as well as an accurate strike rate of 35%.
Border-hopping race caller Anthony Collins was next over the line, after his tips drove an impressive 37% POT.
He found 19 winners at a strike rate of 32% and a meaty average price of $4.26.
But it's his tipping streak that will excite punters, with Collins now showing three winning weeks on the bounce.

Breaking up the SKY and Racing.com stranglehold was Nathan Exelby, who tips under the Telegraph Racing banner.
The Brisbane form expert has been on fire at Doomben and Eagle Farm, jagging 13 winners across the two tracks in April.
They saluted at an average price of $4.25 and a strike rate of 30% to drive a 28% POT.
Exelby's tips will be all the rage up in Brisbane over the coming weeks.
The second SKY Racing caller to make a splash has also been tipping with precision in Brisbane.
We're speaking of David Fowler, who called home 24 of his selections across the month at a strike rate of 37%.
As well as finishing up with a 27% POT, Fowler is now showing a three-month tipping streak

The Get On panellist and Victorian form expert clocked off with 24 winners at a strike rate of 34% and an average price of $3.69.
He'll be looking to extend this purple patch of form into May.
