Despite a solid month from tipsters in Australia's racing media, it was the pro punters who dominated once again.
In fact, only one media tipster snuck his way onto the podiums for highest cash profit and highest POT.
But it was all about one pro punter in April, who picked up the gold medal in both categories.
Find out who that was below.
The name of the pro punter who really showed off his colours in April was Butterfly.
And despite finding just 3 winners from his 23 tips, this punter walked away with a total cash profit of $4,400.
This Melbournian is clearly a value punter, given his three winners came at a whopping average price of $22.33.
This just shows that if you back your tips, going for the roughies does pay off.
But you've got to be on your game. And there's no question that Butterfly was soaring in April.
Collecting the silver medal was veteran punter Bawheid. A punter with plenty of experience on his side.
And his lifetime of racing knowledge certainly paid off in April, where he steered his followers into no less than 57 winners.
This is a fabulous return form 180 total tips, with Bawheid nailing winners at a rate just under 33%.
That effort from Bawheid saw a return of $3,450 from $100 win bets.
Falling inches short for the silver was yet another pro punter, Victory6. Making $3,420 in cash profit from $100 bets on each of his selections, he fell $300 short of the silver podium. That effort involved 75 winners at a healthy average price of $4.43.
Just as he flew to the top of the cash leaderboard, Butterfly was the clear winner in the highest POT category also.
It's usually the value punters who excel by this measure of tipping success, and April was no exception.
All three of the medalists ended the month with an average winning price from their tips of $8.99 or higher.
But first onto Butterfly, whose tips generated 191% POT.
This is a superb return, and just further consolidates the cracking month this bloke had.
In second spot, with a 95% POT was Scomars. The man from near Wollongong in New South Wales found the podium on the back of the value winners he delivered in conjunction with a great strike rate.
He found 5 winners from his 23 tips, at an average price that was a whisker under $9.
Rounding out the top three is the highest profiting media expert in the month of April, Laurie Sainsbury from Racenet.
Sainsbury has long been a favourite on the Racenet site.
He doesn't provide heaps of tips, but the ones he does hand out have a happy knack of greeting the judge first.
His winning tips in April saluted at an average winning price of $13.67, which is a stellar effort in any punter's books.
This took Sainsbury's POT all the way up to 86% for the month, which was just enough to earn him a medal.
