He’s a flying machine and won in a canter whilst breaking the Sunshine Coast track record when first up last preparation.
On top of that, he is the winner of 5 of his 7 first up runs, so I’m expecting him to be ready to sizzle first up again.
Second up, he won the Group 3 George Moore, so this Quality Listed sprint looks well within his scope.
9 wins from 14 career starts, gives you an understanding of how polished this son of Zoustar is.
From barrier 10 he can ping the gates for Brad Stewart and take up the running, without having to burn up too much energy.
Stewart will be able to control things from the front as none of the runners have the speed to pressure him.
He can kick clear early in the straight and start this campaign with another victory.
Oakbank Race 8 Tip #3 Rock The Ring $2.60
Rock The Ring ran superb first up in in Listed Grade at Morphettville. He finished 2nd behind the smart Lombardo after being in the market.
He was caught 3 deep without cover, just behind the speed and looked the winner 300m out. Unfortunately his conditioning gave out and he got swamped late.
Will be fitter 2nd up and whilst he is drawn awkward again, there will be a heap of speed in the race.
This will allow him to get cover in-behind them and power over the top in the run home.
Vorster is well suited to riding the tricky Oakbank track and will be able to navigate him around the home turn comfortably.
Look for him to be overrunning them in the last 200m and move onto bigger and better things after this win
Caulfield Race 3 #1 Point Nepean $4.00
Imported stayer who runs in the Lloyd Williams colours and there’s an expectation he will be a Spring contender.
He strolled in second-up at Bendigo last start over 2400 metres by five lengths.
He rises 5.5kgs but that will be offset by further improvement.
From barrier one look for Alana Kelly to replicate her front running tactics from their last start victory.
Looks well placed again and can use this as a nice close off run before the Spring.
Ascot Race 6 Tip #4 Cryptic Love $15.00
Cryptic Love certainly doesn't win out of turn, but her last 2 runs suggest she might just be ready to knock off another win at odds.
Two starts ago she was less then 2 lengths off the winner in the Bunbury stakes.
Last start, she was less than a length off Buzzoom, Mood Swings and Watch Me dance when running the fastest last 400m and 200m of the entire meeting.
Cryptic Love was scratched from Friday to race here, in what does look a slightly easier assignment.
As for Speed, Ziebell and Acromantula will ensure this is a strongly run 1000m race.
Cryptic Love will drop out the back and attempt to come with one finishing run over the top of them.
