We head to Rosehill for the final day of the Rosehill Carnival with Group 1 racing ahead, including the Tancred and Vinery Stakes.
The Tancred looks a cracking race, with a strong 11 horse field lining up.
Four of these runners come out of the Group 1 Australian Cup, where Duais proved too strong for her rivals.
The Vinery, a staying test for the 3YO fillies, sees 15 runners taking their place.
The David Van Dyke trained Gypsy Goddess has opened a strong favourite.
The Rosehill track is currently rated a Soft 7 with the rail out 5m from the 1400m to the winning post and 4m the remainder.
With up to 45mm of rain forecast in the lead up, punters should be preparing for a Heavy racing surface.
The Map
The Early Favourite - Duais $3.00
Talented mare who was dominant in winning the Australian Cup last start.
She had no issues on the Heavy 10 two starts back, when running a luckless 1.8 length 6th, behind Verry Elleegant.
Deserved favourite going off her last start run.
Best Racing Tips
Duais went to another level last start. She's in career best form and could easily go on with it.
The query is 2400m on a heavy track, but the way she won at Flemington, makes me much more confident.
Jockey, Josh Parr is also in career best form and is up to the task.
Stockman loves it wet. Third up out to 2400m is ideal for him and from the good draw, he'll be the one Duais has to chase down.
Looks a great place bet at $3.30.
She's Ideel is another good place bet at the $3.00 mark. She saves her best for rain affected going and is well suited at the 2400m.
Has drawn for a soft run and with even luck, she features in the finish.
The Map
The Early Favourite
Gypsy Goddess ($3.90) This QLD galloper is 5 from 5 to start her career.
She comes to the big smoke to fight it out with the A-Graders and to be frank, she looks in strife.
Drawing barrier 11 is less than ideal, as she looks likely to be beyond midfield in a moderately run affair.
The Heavy track is an obvious query, but I'm more against her map.
Best Racing Tips
Hinged was impressive winning the Group 1 Surround Stakes against her own age two starts back. She then run a massive 4th in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic.
That run was huge and was probably more impressive given she was back and wide and was beaten by two gallopers that had the perfect run.
Never Been Kissed will relish every metre of this race. She's gutsy and will be in the race for a long way.
Look for Regan Bayliss to control the tempo of the race, before building up the revs on the turn and letting this girl roll.
Fangirl is the best of the backmarkers. From barrier 10, I expect Bowman to be positive and attempt to find a midfield position. If he can, she'll be charging at them on the line.
