A strong field of 15 line up for the Group One Surround Stakes over the Randwick 1400m.
Bookies can't split the top-three in the market, with Fiesta, Nakeeta Jane and Pohutukawa all sitting at the $5 quote.
This looks to be the best betting race on the card, with five last start winners clashing with some top class middle distance types who look set to peak over the longer journey.
The Randwick track is currently rated a Soft 5, with the rail out 6m the entire circuit.
The forecast of fine weather in Sydney should see the track move into the Good range come race day, which will ensure a fair track for all runners.
The early money has come for two of the top three in the market.
The Chirs Waller trained Fiesta has been supported from $6 into $5, while Pohutukawa has also been backed into $5 from $6 openers.
Zalatte steps up in grade here and has been specked from $21 into $13. She comes into this as the only undefeated galloper in the field.
Nakeeta Jane has gone out one turn from $5 to $5.50. It's a surprising drift given her impressive first-up win and she's well suited to this longer trip.
Won the Group 1 Sires Produce over this track and distance last Autumn.
Her first-up run was solid, however she lacked the dash of winner Nakeeta Jane.
The lack of early market support suggests she's probably one run away from her peak and likely suited beyond a mile.
Dream on!
She proved far too strong in a restricted race last start, when sitting wide for most of the journey.
The form from that race is questionable and from barrier 15, she'll be giving them a huge start.
Hugh Bowman is on board and he'll likely ride conservatively from the wide draw, leaving the filly with a monumental task of running down some talented types.
No thanks!
As her name suggests, she does the little things right in the run but lacks the quality of most engaged in this race.
She had every chance last start in the Vanity, when she was up on-speed and then swamped late.
Blinkers go on first time. Lacks the class to be competitive here.
Has returned in fine order. Her first-up win was dynamic when she was ridden up on the speed for the first time.
She looks to have untapped talent and has shown the ability to sprint well off a fast-pace and over longer distances.
If she takes any improvement from her first-up run, she'll be very hard to beat.
Has enormous upside and could easily blow them away!
Was legless at her first-up run when she started second-favourite.
Granted she found the inferior part of the track, but she had little to offer at that point.
She dominated a quality field in the Tea Rose over this track and distance in the Spring.
With Kerrin McEvoy staying aboard, you can be confident of a significant improvement.
Barrier 16 is an awful draw, leaving McEvoy with no other option but to ride her at the back of the field.
Be wary of any betting moves because she is a high-quality galloper and if she is near her peak, she'll be flying late.
Was afforded on-pace favours last start and is unlikely to get it that easy this time around.
Her first-up performances have been her best and you'd expect her to only battle away late.
Her late sectionals last start was only bettered by Winx and with even luck, she would have been right in the finish.
With two wins from two starts second-up, there is no doubt she'll be set to peak here.
The $5 is the right price and she is a clear second-pick. Save on her!
Is undefeated at her three career starts.
She defeated Baller last preparation who won in fine style at Rosehill last week, but could find these too sharp.
The early market move is a promising sign that she's improved from the spell and given she's on an Oaks campaign, it could pay to take the $26 currently available in futures markets.
Will be doing her best work late.
1st Nakeeta Jane
2nd Pohutukawa
3rd Miss Fabulass
4th Zalatte
