The previous seven days of horse racing have seen a healthy mix of punters who post their tips at theGreatTipOff.com (GTO) and Australia's racing media flaunt their tipping skills.
Looking at cash profit, it was two pro punters who fought it out at the summit of the weekly leaderboard.
Just edging his way to the top was form expert Ben Beare, who tips under BBbestbets, ending the week with $4,780 in cash profit.
Some may be familiar with BBbestbets from his weekly contributions to the GTO, where he has revealed himself to be a keen trial watcher, using that knowledge to pick winners that are first up from a spell.
BBbestbets snagged 26 winners over the past 7 days, at an impressive strike rate of 42%.
And he's currently in the middle of a purple patch of form, having made a profit from 5 of his last 6 tipping days.
These are great numbers all round, and it hasn't gone unnoticed, with his followers growing daily.
The pro punter who just missed out on top spot after his racing tips generated $4,565 from $100 win bets was Doctorevil.
Doctorevil tipped no less than 33 winners at a healthy average winning price just shy of $8.
And these winners came from here, there and everywhere, tipping winners across a range of Australian states, New Zealand, England and South Africa as well.
That effort was no flash in the pan with his 6-month profit now in excess of eight grand from 1,321 tips.
However, sometimes its quality and not quantity that counts. This was the case for renowned tipster Laurie Sainsbury, who had a Saturday to remember.
Although he found just the one winner from his four tips we thought it was worth a shout. Sainsbury steered punters into Harlem, who won the Australian Cup at Flemington for the second consecutive year at odds of 40/1.
It takes guts for a media expert to tip a horse at these kinds of odds. This bravery certainly paid off for Sainsbury and his Racenet followers this week.
Another popular media tipster who recorded solid profit and POT numbers was former Aussie Rules player come racing form expert Mark Hunter.
Hunter found just shy of $2k in profit for those who followed his tips with $100 bets, at an impressive 131% POT.
And Hunter was another tipster who produced a handful of quality tips. He found four winners at a meaty average winning price of $8.68.With a strike rate above the 25% mark, Hunter's tips were on fire.
Speaking of popular tipsters, there aren't many who are more celebrated than David Gately.
Gator snuck into the top 10 for most profit, with $1,390. But his POT was outstanding at 77%. As I type, the man they call Gator holds the highest profit on turnover in the month March.
Another favourite amongst punters also gets a wrap after a big week. Expert form analyst Deane Lester.
This is one analyst who offers greater value through his staking plan. Under even stake, Lester's name doesn't appear on the top 25 leaderboard.
But if you followed his staking plan his profit elevates him comfortably into the top 10, making a huge 82% POT. You can get Deane's staking plan as part of his Premium Package here.
