The SKY Racing weekly wonders were this time dominated by Tasmanian and New South Wales experts.
And it was a Tassie tipster who fared best, after Duncan Dornauf clocked off with a whopping 121% Profit on Turnover (POT).
The racing journalist and broadcaster was seeing them like beach balls at Launceston.
He bagged 4 winners at Sunday's meet, before backing that up with an incredible 7 winning tips on Wednesday's card.
These 11 winning selections got up at a strike rate of 58% and an average price of $3.81.
Phenomenal tipping.
Securing the silver thanks to some very accurate tipping of his own was Gary Kliese.
Kliese jagged 7 winners at a strike rate of 47% and a juicy average price of $4.07 at Scone and Grafton during the week.
The ex-jockey also had success with his best bets, nailing 3 of the 4 that he suggested.
Factor in a double stake for Kliese's best bets and his Profit on Turnover surges up to 112%.
Cracking stuff.
We're heading back down to the Apple Isle because Colin McNiff was next over the line.
The Tassie race caller also tipped his socks off at Launceston during the week, finding 8 winners including $13 pop Gee Gee Secondover on Sunday.
This not only drove a bumper 65% POT for McNiff, but saw him notch up his third straight winning week at Launceston.
Look out for his next Launceston selections.
Colin McNiff is flying in Tassie
Fellow race caller Anthony Manton also had a week to remember, after finishing up with a 45% POT.
This was thanks to 7 of his tips greeting the judge across the Canberra and Wagga cards.
Punters who backed Manton's 15 tips with $100 bets saw a handsome $760 in cash profit.
But with no less than 4 of his best bets getting the job done, this cash profit leaps up to $1,560 for punters who doubled their stake on Manton's top picks.
What an effort.
Last cab off the rank this week was Brad Davidson, who put in a typically strong performance.
He found 5 winners at a strike rate of 38% and an average price just under $4 to generate a 52% POT.
This also saw Davo dish up his second straight weekly profit, as well as his third from the past four weeks.
In other words, he's flying.
Tipster | Profit / POT | |
---|---|---|
Brad Davidson (NSW) |
$820 / 137% (30 days) |
Speaking of Brad Davidson, he's also the tipster you want to be following for the fat Randwick card scheduled for Saturday.
There's six black type races for punters to get their teeth stuck into, highlighted by the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes.
And looking at Davo's Randwick record, you certainly wouldn't put it past him to dish up another bumper profit.
Davidson has been very selective with his recent tips at headquarters, but it's more than paid off.
He's bagged 4 winners from 6 selections at a meaty average price of $3.55.
This has resulted in a mammoth 137% POT for Davo and his followers.
They'll be hoping for more of the same on Saturday.
While there were plenty of contenders this week - including Brad Davidson - it's Luke Marlow who gets the bob in.
The rising star in the NSW race calling scene is showing $1,160 in cash profit from his tips over the past 30 days.
They've saluted at a super strike rate of 39% to match a solid average price of $3.12.
On top of that, Marlow recently brought up a three-week tipping streak.
Expect to see Marlow's name crop up in racing circles for years to come.
