This Wednesday, we return to Caulfield Heath, and I’m particularly keen on a runner in Race 4.
With the track rated a Good 4, I expect it to favour horses racing up on the speed.
Let me tell you about a standout contender that fits this profile perfectly.

Jack continues to nail his best bets at a good rate!
This mare trained by Grahame Begg is one to watch.
With Jordan Childs staying aboard, this dynamic jockey-and-trainer combination has been firing, boasting an impressive 24% strike rate over their last 100 runners.
They are in winning form and this mare looks set to continue their success.
Her last-start performance at Ballarat was nothing short of outstanding.
She secured victory in a maiden over 1100m and recorded the fastest last 400m, 200m, and 100m sectional times of the entire day.
Stepping up to 1200m looks like no issue, especially considering how Childs confidently put the whip away in the final 50m riding her hands-and-heels to the line.
The form out of that Ballarat race has further franked her ability.
The horse that finished third (beaten 5.5 lengths by Samangu) has since come out and won, while the fifth-placed runner (6.7 lengths behind) finished second at its next start.
These results reinforce the dominance of her maiden win and suggest she’s well above average.
While Samangu is a short-priced favourite, she deserves the tag.
She represents a value gamble for a horse that should win this race far more often than she loses.
If she succeeds here as expected, I’d also suggest adding the horse that finished second to her at Ballarat to your black book.
It could pay dividends in future.
