This week we have seen a significant market push for key chances at both major venues.
At Pakenham, the Hayes team has seen a former Hong Kong Galloper smashed off the back of an impress trial.
While at Randwick, Bjorn Baker can do no wrong at the moment and the sharp punters have latched onto a up-and-coming superstar from the stable.
If any further late money comes for these runners they should be right in the thick of it.

Charmed Run
Lightly raced 3YO who brained them on preparation debut at Moonee Valley.
Disappointed second up when well supported, although had excuses throughout the race when badly held up until the 125m mark.
Let down well once out of the pack but the race had been run.
The continuous market support at all preparation runs show the mare mut be flying at home and if any further late money comes, watch out.
Nadal
Overcame a red hot tempo last start at Cranbourne to win comfortably.
Looks like a genuine Black Type runner and the Maher camp have been very smart with their placement so far in his young career.
While he is yet to race at Pakenham, the long straight that suits run on types make him a red hot chance here.
He will get a firm track which is right up his alley and the booking of Ethan Brown is an added tick of approval.
If he can navigate the wide barrier he looks awfully hard to hold out.
Strawberry Rock
Comes out of the Ballarat Cup last start where finished well back (13 of 16) after starting big odds and looked to have needed the run from a fitness angle.
He got a long way back in the field last start where there was little intent shown, and now with added fitness they will look to find a more forward position and put him into the race much earlier.
This could be the peak run they have timed his program around, with the horse very well-suited by the step up to 2500m in this race.
Global Harmony
Ex-David Hayes runner returning to Australia after a stint in Hong Kong.
He has always shown immense talent but had poor barrier manners resulting in him leaving the stable.
The Hayes team are masters of fixing these types of issues and if successful he looks panels above this grade.
The latest trial was sensational and all he needs is to repeat it on race day to be right in the finish here.
Looks very well placed to make it a winning resumption in Australia.
Chergui
Godolphin have wealth of talented 2yo’s and this colt must ding enough at home to suggest he is above average and ready to tackle Sydney Saturday class.
They will be keen on continuing to make an impression with their 2yo crop after a good year last season with Broadsiding as their flagship runner who dominated at Group 1 level.
There is a renewed focus and investment in the 2yo program and we could see a number of early types present here.
Texas Fireball
The stable has made an absolute art of targeting the highway races with exactly the right horse and this looks to be the case again here.
The yard appears to hold back a standard city grade horse and pick off the highways along the way in the horse’s progression to higher benchmark grades.
This runner had now had two runs this time in and must now be ready to peak, to warrant the trip south for Sydney riches.
Midnight Dynamite
Bjorn Baker can do no wrong! And looks to have another excellent chance here with a lightly raced 3yo who has won 3 of 5 career starts.
He did enough last start (3 of 6) at Rosehill when stepping up in distance to the 1200m, and now rock hard fit 1300m at Randwick is perfect.
Although drawn the outside barrier (gate 11) the horse does have tactical speed and the ability to go forward early to negate the wide ally.
Electrica
The ownership group love a bet and must have been told by the stable to bet-up here!
The horse is likely to have shown them plenty at home since the last start effort and may now be ready to peak here for the city level prizemoney.
The booking of Zac Lloyd is a significant rider upgrade and has the potential to improve the horse by many lengths.
