Leading analysts at theGreatTipOff.com have your Tuesday form done for Melbourne Cup Day.
With brilliant racing all over the country, they reveal their best plays around the country in the lead up to the big race.
Eagle Farm Race 6 Tip #4 Ingear $2.50
This 5YO mare from the astute Tony Gollan yard gets her chance to win regressing back to a benchmark 75.
Last start she was very gallant in defeat, finishing second in BM80 grade.
In that hit out, she finished ahead of Plenty who she meets again.
Furthermore, the start prior to last she defeated The Big Goodbye who is unlikely to back up after a good win on Saturday.
Jockey Ryan Maloney continues his consistent winning strike rate of 23% over the past 12 months.
Ryan's main job on Ingear will be to put her into a nice spot on-speed from gate 8.
Ideally, he'll push forward and attempt to obtain the fence.
The good news is if that doesn’t pan out, Ingear can still control the pace up outside the leader.
Three of her four wins have been at this track, and she has three wins at the distance.
It really looks her race to lose so only needs luck in running to get the job done.
Randwick Race 2 Tip #1 American President $8.50
This gelding has been in my blackbook for quite some time now.
As a 2YO, she only had the one run at Orange in the Silver Apple.
On that day she was caught wide for the majority of the race and flew home to just miss the winner Overpass.
Overpass has been a mainstay in Group 3YO races this campaign and finished only 4.4 lengths off Home Affairs in the Coolmore on Saturday.
American President heads to this race on the back of three solid trials.
The race pattern of these trials were all the same, where he was allowed to drift back in the field before charging home under grips.
These maiden events typically have genuine tempo and this should give American President every chance to pull to the outside and steam over the top.
In an added benefit, gun apprentice Tyler Schiller takes the reins and takes a further 3kg off his back.
He represents enormous value at the current quote.
Randwick Race 4 Tip #6 Roots $2.30
This filly looks very progressive to my eye.
She loves to find the line, and this is an attribute that is needed in these younger horses to make them successful on the big stages.
Last start she was held up in the straight, but kept coming to narrowly miss behind Fangirl.
Fangirl went to Melbourne and won arrogantly to frank the form.
She is short odds but she can use this win to kick onto bigger and better races this campaign.
Flemington Race 4 Tip #1 Best Of Days $9.00
It's quite unbelievable that a horse of his quality is paying $9 in a Listed race.
He does have to give some of these a bit of weight, but to my ratings Best Of Day has a big gulf in class over his rivals here.
He has been competitive in Group 2 company for his four races this preparation and has carried 58kg and 59kg in those runs outings.
Last preparation, he hit his best form when he got deep into his prep and this looks like the perfect race for him to fire back into winning ways.
Last time he ran at Flemington, he ran second in the Group 1 Australian Cup when carrying 59kg over 2000m.
He steps up to the 1800m which will suit, and draws to get a perfect run in the race just off the speed from barrier three.
Considering most of his market rivals are coming out of Listed and Open Handicap grade, he looks a fantastic bet.
