There were some sensational tipping performances in October, led by a popular punter who walked away with the gold in both categories.
Outside of this ripping effort, another pro punter also featured on both the highest cash profit and highest Profit on Turnover (POT) podiums.
While these punters where firing, some well-known media experts also showed their class in October.

One of the most well known punters here at theGreatTipOff.com is Tezzaraki, and his profile will only grow after this latest effort.
The Moreton Bay local has been entering his tips since all the way back in 2013, making him one of the veterans on the site.
October would have to go down as one of his best monthly performances yet, after his tips generated a monster $12,440 in cash profit from $100 win bets.
This was thanks to 21 winners at a fat average price of $12.64.
The definite standout came on the 18th, where Tezzaraki steered all his followers into Fighting Commando at his nearby Sunshine Coast racecourse.
This roughie got home at enormous $130 odds, in what was the tip of the month.

Also making a stack and securing the silver medal in the process was Perth punter Claresy1977.
He bagged no less than 58 winners in October, at juicy average odds of $8.28.
This generated a whopping cash profit of $10,930 from $100 win bets.
He's one to keep your eye on with the Perth Summer Carnival just around the corner.
Rounding out the cash profit podium with a hefty haul of $9,210 was ArrestedDevelopment.
The October sun was certainly shining on this Sunshine Coast resident after he jagged 8 winners at a huge average price of $25.14.
He made his in-roads right at the tail end of the month, with $55 winner Smuggler coming at Traralgon on the 31st.
That was a day after he bagged these two thumping winners at the Valley on the 30th.
Not a bad way to round out the month.
An honourable mention has to go to the Telegraph's Ray Thomas.
The paper's leading racing journalist and form analyst, Thomas tipped a mind-blowing 156 winners in October.
This led to almost $7K in cash profit for punters who followed all of Thomas's tips with $100 bets.
Unlike most media tipsters who focus on particular tracks or jurisdictions, Thomas provides his tips at multiple racecourses around NSW as well as interstate.
This makes his enormous cash profit all the more impressive.
As mentioned earlier, Tezzaraki did the double in October, after also finishing up with the month's highest profit on turnover.
The Queenslander's 88% POT saw him claim the month's top prize of $500.
Remember, this monthly competition is eligible to all punters who enter at least 30 tips.
And after placing 141 tips during October, Tezzaraki certainly ticked the eligibility box.
Best Horse Racing tipsters for October by POT
Earning the runner's up prize of $250 was pro punter GamblingMan.
This bloke got in on the minimum, after placing exactly 30 tips in October.
Seven of them saluted at a meaty average price of $7.90 to return a fat 85% POT.
As good as his October effort was, GamblingMan is also showing an impressive record over the past 90 days.
The South Australian has now notched up over $5K in cash profit over this period.

ArrestedDevelopment bagged his second bronze of the month after also finishing third in the POT category.
His tips drove a POT of 84.5%, less than a quarter of a percentage behind GamblingMan's 84.67% POT.
There was hardly a hair's breadth separating these two, but it was ArrestedDevelopment who just came up short.
He still did enough however to pick up the third-place prize of $125.
Not a bad consolation.

It was a cracking month from the Racing.com team, led by mounting yard presenter and form analyst Nic Ashman.
Ashman's consistency went to a new level in October, with his winners booting home at a strike rate of 36%.
Considering that they were also saluting at an enviable average price of almost $5, it was a very impressive showing.
Demonstrating how good a touch he's in, Ashman's tips have yielded just shy of 37% POT over the past 30 days.

Coming in next was SKY Racing presenter and form judge Chynna Marston.
The ex-hoop was all over the races in southern NSW, steering her followers into 10 winners from just 28 selections.
This generated a bumper 58% POT for one of the shining stars in the SKY stable.
Up-and-coming racing journo Mitchell Hamilton showed all of his class to finish the month with a 49% POT.
The Telegraph tipster found 11 winners at a meaty average price of $5.15.
His tips will continue to be sought after for many years to come.
Another newspaper journalist who had a month to remember was Glenn McFarlane from the Herald Sun.
The sports and racing writer excelled during the Spring Carnival, bagging 29 winners at a terrific strike rate of 41%.

The final media tipster to earn a mention was none other than Jason Richardson.
