With a massive day of racing ahead this weekend, the resident GTO tipsters have settled on their best plays to help fill you wallet.
The form has been done all across the country and the team are ready to kick-start the weekend in style.
Doomben Race 1 Tip #3 Irish Sequel $3.00
Chris Waller trained import who is on the 7 day backup after proving too strong at Eagle Farm over this distance.
While he is up in grade, he did run placings last year at handicap level in Ireland suggesting he is up to this class.
He is coming off back to back victories and his best form is on soft tracks.
The weather forecast shows showers are predicted over the next two days and this will benefit this son of Invincible Spirit perfectly.
There isn’t a lot of speed in the race so Jim Byrne will have the option to box seat and stalk the favourite who I am expecting to lead.
He looks value at the current quote, especially if the heavens open.
Moonee Valley Race 7 Tip #1 Forgot You $1.80
Top class colt who looks well placed in this Group 2 weight-for-age event.
He produced the second fastest last 200 metres of the Caulfield Guineas when he ran on strongly to finish sixth behind Anamoe.
The step up in distance from 1600 metres to 2040 metres is ideal.
He won his two previous starts at this track prior to the Caulfield Guineas, including the Group 2 Stutt Stakes. As an added tick, he handles wet tracks fine so any predicted rain will not bother him.
This looks tailor made for him to win and then head to the Victoria Derby.
Doomben Race 5 Tip #1 Tiger Heart $2.10
With the rail out 3 metres this weekend, drawing barrier 1 with early pace will be advantageous.
Tiger Heart produced a great run returning from a spell. He was a touch on the fresh side, fractious in the barriers and moderate away.
He had to be steadied in the run, before being held up at the 300m.
With all that went against him, he could be forgiven for really falling away. However he still managed to finish 1.5 lengths behind Glorious Ruby who is no slouch.
That run was over the unsuitable 1000m, and his last 100m was brilliant finding the line well.
Stripping fitter and up to 1200m Saturday helps and with rain around, he enjoys getting the toe in which will suit him perfectly.
Ascot Race 6 Tip #4 Magical Dream $5.00
In 8 career starts, Magical Dream is yet to put a foot wrong.
Her past performances have seen her only 2 lengths off Watch me Dance and Kissonallforcheeks, that would see her perfectly placed for a win here.
Magical Dream is 3/3 when first-up and 2/2 over the track and distance.
Puli looks the likely leader in a race that doesn't appear to have a lot of tempo.
Magical Dream can show some tactical speed and land midfield behind the leaders, compared to the favourite who likely goes back to last from the wide draw.
This race shapes perfectly for him and you can expect him to hold them all off in the straight.
Randwick Race 3 Tip #5 Able Willie $2.05
This 3YO gelding was looking like he had some talent at the trials and then went to the Kensington track and won with something in hand on debut.
This is obviously a step up in grade, but he does get a couple kgs off the back and he was not completely tested last start.
He can take improvement from that run and possibly be a horse for the future.
Look for Kerrin Mcevoy to give him a peach of a ride and get us off to a cracking start for the day.
