This three-year-old went close to saluting on debut when beaten by the talented Gorgons, finishing in front of subsequent winners Invinciano and Madam Oaks.
The colt then caught my eye when resuming at the trials, after he travelled under his own steam and held his own against quality galloper Dawn Passage. All signs pointed to him having a big prep.
Unfortunately nothing went right when first-up at Warwick Farm, after he was restrained in the run and pulled up with a respiratory noise and lacerations.
He was then forced back to the trials, where he was impressive once again and showed no signs of the problems which hindered his last start effort.
The tongue tie goes on here and I expect him to go straight to the front and do it from both ends.
