Caulfield is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail in the true position.
With this set up the track should play fair, allowing all runners their chance.
Mark had one winner and three placings from eight bets last Saturday. Below are three of his top selections for Caulfield.

Caulfield Race 5 Listed Carlton Draught Alinghi Stakes 1100m
Vinicunca (2) and Working From Home (8) are likely to lead.
Tatiara (3) and Victory Kingdom (7) look likely to sit behind the leaders.
Prophet’s Thumb was awesome winning here over this trip last start and then two starts back she got within 1.4L of the smart Faatinah.
From barrier one, I expect her to sit back in about sixth spot on the fence with cover and let the front runners do the work. She has a very good turn of foot and can take off from the 400m and be far too good for these.
Miss Iano is back in trip from the 1200m. She has a very good record at the trip and likes Caulfield.
She will likely sit mid-field outside Prophet’s Thumb and they can make their runs together.
Soothing was amazing coming from the tail to win at Morphettville. Caulfield has not been kind to horses that get too far back of late and she could fall victim to that.
1st Prophet’s Thumb
2nd Miss Iano
3rd Soothing
Caulfield Race 6 Group 3 New Zealand Bloodstock Ethereal Stakes 2000m
Celestial Falls (10) will jump straight to the front with the intent of leading all the way.
Snapdancer (6), Gamay (7) and Atame (15) will sit off the leader.
Vegas Jewel is two from two and the 2000m looks ideal.
She came from the rear last start at The Valley and rounded up the leader with ease to run away for an impressive win.
This filly looks to be something special and will be rattling home from back in the field and can get the job done to continue on her winning way.
Gamay was wide the trip last start and had to do the chasing behind Celestial Falls.
She will get a dream run mid-field and will be the one to chase down over the concluding stages.
Celestial Falls will take some running down and if she can kick at the turn, she will make things very interesting.
1st Vegas Jewel
2nd Gamay
3rd Celestial Falls
Caulfield Race Race 9 Group 1 Stella Artois Caulfield Cup 2400m
Plenty of imports here who should be competitive amongst a handful of locals, makes for an intriguing race.
Wolfe (5) will no doubt lead them from the onset. With no weight and his bold front running ability, his admirers will be expecting him to lead into the straight and then kick away from his rivals.
Rostropovich (18), Constantinople (7) and Gold Mount (4) will all be up on the pace.
Barriers have not been kind to those short in the market and this factor has played a big part in my assessment of this race.
Mirage Dancer from Great Britain look the best of the imports. From barrier 13, he can take a sit in the first half of the field and find cover.
His 2400m form is terrific and with 56kg on his back this race looks like it will set up nicely for him.
Finche has been racing in fine form and if not for barrier 19, I would have him on top.
Constantinople has a very good record and the Caulfield Cup looks like his type of race.
He looks a little awkward in his action and may be better come next season, but with the gear changes in this race, he can it a real shake.
1st Mirage Dancer
2nd Finche
3rd Constantinople
